Collectorz.com News clz movies
Here it is, the CLZ News for September 2020.
It’s a sad day today. Since late June, part of the team had been working at the office again, but in the Netherlands the 2nd wave of the virus has hit us full on. So to keep the team safe and healthy, we have decided that the entire team will be working from home again, starting today 🙁
But don’t worry, we have gotten quite good at this “work from home” situation, with the team communicating over Slack all day. So it’s all business as usual. The support team is still lightning fast in answering your questions. The content team is still keeping our Core up-to-date will all new releases. And finally, the dev team is still making excellent progress on updates for our software and services.
These are the topics of today’s newsletter:
- v6.0 now live for CLZ Books, CLZ Music and CLZ Movies apps!
- Coming up: Improved PriceCharting support for all game tools
This is the CLZ News for July 2019, with several big updates that we have been working on for months, now finally arriving on your computer or mobile device:
- CLZ Movies 5.0 for iOS and Android
- Game Connect + Game Collector for Windows: Add Hardware from Core
- Comic Connect + Comic Collector for Windows: Automatic comic values
This is Alwin, with your Collectorz.com News for November 2013.
At the CLZ HQ, the Cobalt craziness is slowly quieting down. Our Support guys and gal (Chris, AJ and Sytske) have everything under control again.
On the development side, the advantages of the Update Plan system are already showing, with this month’s Cobalt.1 updates bringing a nice set of improvements for all PC & Mac programs and our new weekly “Maintenance Monday” resulting in faster fixes for reported problems (more details in the 1st topic of this newsletter).
I have three news topics today:
- About Cobalt and Update Plans (over 13,000 users have gone Cobalt!)
- 3 days left in our Black Friday Sale: Get an extra Collectorz.com program half price!
- CLZ Movies 1.5 for Android is live!
A very nice review of Book and Movie Collector on Sunilification. Here is a quote from it:
“Friends and readers would be aware of my woes of cataloguing books, DVDs and Blu Rays. I don’t own too many, roughly about 1200 books and 500 DVDs, but managing them can be a nightmare. Especially when items are regularly borrowed and returned. It took me a while to remember who hadn’t returned my copy of White Teeth or the original Festen.
For a long time now, I have been seeking a software to catalogue them or a barcode scanner that can scan and update the status of items when they are added or borrowed ( a la a public library). So far, I didn’t find anything that was complete or met all of my needs.
Last month, a friend suggested Collectorz. A visit on to their website and checking out the features of their products convinced me that they had what I was looking for. I have been using it over last couple of months and it runs like a dream. I think for people like me, who collect and manage books, I can’t recommend it enough.”

This is the October 2012 edition of the Collectorz.com newsletter,
brought to you, as always, by the CLZ head honcho himself, Alwin Hoogerdijk.
You may have guessed from the subject: most of this newsletter is about
two most popular products: Movie Collector and it’s companion app CLZ Movies.
Because that is what all of us have been working on this October:
- Coming soon: Movie Collector 9 for Windows
- Submitted to Apple: CLZ Movies 2.0 for iOS
The other topics today:
- * Windows 8 compatible!
- * A small favor?
Do you own our CLZ Movies app for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch?
Then read on, because this message contains important information on how to
get your free upgrade to the upcoming CLZ Movies 2.0 version.
Here’s the deal:
- CLZ Movies 2.0 is coming soon (ETA: within 2 weeks) and will finally bring
the long awaited adding, editing, barcode scanning and 2-way syncing features.
- CLZ Movies 2.0 will be *one* universal app for iPhone and iPad. To be more
precise: the existing iPhone app will be transformed into this universal app.
Last week, we released version 1.1 updates for all CLZ data viewer apps.
These version 1.1. updates, and all future app updates,
are *only* available through the Android Market.
If you originallly bought your app(s) via the shop on the Collectorz.com site, you can switch to the Market edition for US $0.99. This deal, originally planned to end on October 2, has now been extended to October 31!
Re-download your apps for US $0.99 (or equivalent) on the Android Market here,
or just search for “collectorz” in the Market on your device itself.
IMPORTANT: Before you download the new version from the Android Market,
you MUST remove the old version. If you don’t, you will get an error that says:
“Package file was not signed correctly”.
These 1.1 updates are *only* available in the Android Market.
If you originally purchased your Android app(s) via the Android Market, then you can just use the Market on your device to update to v1.1.
