Software and app updates related to 'update from core'

Just over two months ago, we released a huge v9.0 upgrade for the CLZ Movies app. But today, we’re back already, with a v9.1 update with two improvements related to cover images, a nice new setting for further customizing your app and finally, an improvement to the barcode scanner.

Fixed:

Sync with CLZ Cloud/Update from Core: Sometimes didn’t download all covers
Edit Screen: The order of Month/Day would sometimes be wrong (i.e. if your phone was set to German)
Add Movies: Add button could not be switched back to “In Collection” (if set to a different one)

Fixed:

A crash could occur while updating values from CovrPrice
A crash could occur while updating comics with key information
While typing in the search box above the folder panel, letters could disappear
Tablet: when selecting a series, the app would scroll that series to the middle of the folder panel
“Sniper” button didn’t show if sort order had never been changed in the app
Update from Core did not download the back cover if available

Fixed:

When using Update from Core it would keep coming back with updates (even though there weren’t any further updates)

Another week, another CLZ Comics update!

Still no version 8.0 yet though, as we are saving that major version number for the upcoming huge CovrPrice update.

Today’s update is version 7.11, introducing a configurable Update from Core tool.

A big update for your Connect software today, with several cool new features and some smaller tweaks, all in one go:

Easily add cover images by pasting into the Edit Screen’s Covers tab
New Month and Date folder options for all date fields
Improved Update from Core tool
“Move to Other Collection” now possible from details panel toolbar

Fixed:

Templates: Tapping the cover to zoom in on it often caused the cover to flip to the back cover
Adding an item to a different collection status caused Pre-fill fields to clear in the existing entry
Update from Core: a crash could sometimes occur during the update
Edit Multiple: improved loading times

Add/Update Movies: Country and Language weren’t downloaded
Add/Update settings: Download links from MovieMeter checkbox was missing
Pre-fill screen: It wasn’t possible to clear out certain fields (such as Tags)
Edit screen: Pick list popups for certain fields didn’t remember their sort order
Pre-fill wasn’t working after the “move to other collection status” popup
Add Movies: When adding books to “Sold” the button wasn’t showing text

As you know, the entire CLZ team has been working on a comic related project in the last few months. Which has resulted in 3 major releases for our comic cataloging tools this month, the main attraction being automatic key comic info from Core (first appearances, cameo appearances, major event, iconic covers, etc..).

In the meantime, the team has already moved on to give our other products some well deserved attention. First, big v7 releases for the other 4 CLZ mobile apps, v22 releases for the other 4 Windows programs and… many updates for the Connect web-based software.
