Software and app updates related to 'adding' (page 6)

In today’s update for the CLZ Music app, we have made further tweaks to the Add Albums from CLZ Core screen, to make it clearer and (hopefully) more stable than previous versions:

• Slightly smaller font for the album title, so that longer titles fit better.
• Color high-lighting: Albums already ‘on wish list’ now have an orange title, albums already “in collection” show up with a blue title.
• Improved scroll behaviour.

Fixes in this update:

• Full screen cover scroller on iPhone/iPod devices was not properly updating its title bar

In today’s update for the CLZ Movies app, we have made further tweaks to the Add screen, to make it clearer and (hopefully) more stable than previous versions:

• Slightly smaller font for the movie title, so that longer titles fit better.
• Color high-lighting: Movies already ‘on wish list’ now have an orange title, movies already “in collection” show up with a blue title.
• Improved scroll behaviour.

• Improved scroll behaviour.

Fixes in this update:

• Full screen cover scroller on iPhone/iPod devices was not properly updating its title bar
• No platform icons in platform folder on iPad devices

In today’s update for the CLZ Comics app, we have made further tweaks to the Add screen, to make it clearer and (hopefully) more stable than previous versions:

• Slightly smaller font for the series name, so that longer titles fit better.
• Clearer result entries for Add By Barcode searches, especially in cases of multiple results.
• Color high-lighting: Comics already ‘on wish list’ now have an orange title, comics already “in collection” show up with a blue title.
• Improved scroll behaviour.

Fixes in this update:

• Some covers (Preview art) weren’t showing in the main screen thumbnail view
• Series have/want header in main list was cut off in certain situations
• Full screen cover scroller on iPhone/iPod devices was not properly updating its title bar

Fixed:

• Edit Game/Hardware: Screenshot & Links: adding “image files” as local links would add them as “screen shot” instead.
• Main Screen: Quick filter panel option “keep active” wasn’t applied directly after restarting software.
• Edit Game: Links tab: When editing a local link, the “previous” button didn’t work.

Fixed:

• Add Multiple Comics Manually: the first two comics of the added list would get the same index number.
• Linking Comics with CLZ Core didn’t mark them “dirty” for syncing with CLZ Cloud.
• Main Screen: Quick filter panel option “keep active” wasn’t applied directly after restarting software.
• Edit Comic: Links tab: When editing a local link, the “previous” button didn’t work.

New:

• Add Albums from CLZ Core: the 4 “Add by” tabs now have icons.

Fixed:

• Add/Link Music Files:
  • Adding an album from music files will now leave the “Packaging” field empty instead of setting it from the Field Defaults.
  • Import from iTunes: Album notes’ first character was missing.
• Edit Album: Links tab: When editing a local link, the “previous” button didn’t work.
• After adding an album where a pick list item (such as an artist) was updated with new information, not all albums using that same artist were marked as “dirty” for syncing with CLZ Cloud.
• Main Screen: Quick filter panel option “keep active” wasn’t applied directly after restarting software.

New:

• Add Books from CLZ Core: the 4 “Add by” tabs now have icons.

Fixed:

• Link/Update Books with CLZ Core: if an ISBN can’t be found, the author, publisher and title are now filled in automatically in the “Unrecognized ISBN” screen, if they are known from the book you’re linking.
• Main screen: Details Panel: characters with a link filled in were not clickable.
• Edit Book: Links tab: When editing a local link, the “previous” button didn’t work.
• After adding a book where a pick list item (such as an author) was updated with new information, not all books using that same author were marked as “dirty” for syncing with CLZ Cloud.

New:

• Add Movies from CLZ Core: the 4 “Add by” tabs now have icons.

Fixed:

• Add/Link Movie files: Link to Existing Movie:
  • Double clicking the column header in the movie selection screen would act as double clicking a movie and close the screen.
  • It wasn’t possible to resize the columns in the movie selection screen.
• Edit Movie: Links tab: When editing a local link, the “previous” button didn’t work.
• After adding a movie where a pick list item (such as an actor) was updated with new information, not all movies using that same actor were marked as “dirty” for syncing with CLZ Cloud.
• Adding a movie could cause a cast member’s image URL to be overwritten even when update setting “cast/crew images” was “Leave as is” or “Update empty fields only”.
  

Big changes today! For version 17.1 we have completely re-designed the “Add Comics from CLZ Core” screen (previously called “Add Comics Automatically”). The new screen is both easier-to-use and easier-on-the-eye:

• A clear two-panel design: Search Results on the left, Preview on the right.
• The Search Results now show cover images for both series and issues.
• Automatic Preview of selected issues (no more double clicking).

Highly improved success rate on barcode searches:

• Many more CDs are now recognized by barcode, by using a Discogs search
• NEW: Now also find vinyl records by barcode!

User interface tweaks:

• After adding/editing an album, the app will now always find and show your last added album in your main screen.
• Main screen will now always remember navigation state, even after device reboot.

Fixed:

• Automatically select the first result on a barcode search with multiple results.
• Swapped artist and title in results cells in the search by artist/title screen.

This update to the CLZ Movies app for Android brings user interface improvements to the Add Movies screen:

• All panels are now resizable (list, details, camera)
• When adding a movie that is already on your wish list, the app now lets you change its’ status to “In Collection”.
• Adding By Barcode:
  • Camera scanner is now integrated in Add screen, not a separate screen
  • Tap the keyboard icon in the camera panel to enter a barcode manually
  • Barcode queue is now remembered between sessions
  • Press and hold to delete a barcode from the queue
• Adding By Title:
  • Expand movie edition list using “V” icons on the right
  • Movie not found? Easy add it manually using the special entry in the results list

Easily add movies that come up as “Unrecognized Barcode”

• In the Add Movies screen when a barcode is not recognized, a new “Unrecognized Barcode” screen will appear.
• In this screen:
  1. Just find your movie by title (Search-As-You-Type is also active here!)
  2. Select the format (DVD, Blu-Ray, etc..)
  3. Then click Add Movie.
• This will:
  1. Add the movie to YOUR database with full movie details, your barcode and the selected format.
  2. Instantly add the barcode to OUR Core online movie database, connected to the movie you selected.

This update introduces an easier way to deal with “Unrecognized Barcodes”.
A new screen that not only helps you to add the game to your app anyway, but also helps your fellow CLZ Games users by instantly adding the missing barcode to the CLZ Core online game database.

Easily add games that come up as “Unrecognized Barcode”:

• In the Add Games screen when a barcode is not recognized, a new “Unrecognized Barcode” screen will appear.
• In this screen:

An important v4.3.9 update for your CLZ Books Android app is now available.

This update introduces an easier way to deal with “Unrecognized ISBNs”.
A new screen that not only helps you to add the book to your database anyway, but also helps your fellow CLZ Books users by instantly adding the missing ISBN to the CLZ Core central online book database.

(this feature was introduced for our Windows, Mac and iOS versions earlier, and in the meantime, people have used this new tool to add over 22 thousand new books to our Core!)

• In the Add screen, when a scanned ISBN is not recognized, a new “Unrecognized ISBN” screen will appear.
• In this screen, just enter the Author, Title, Publisher and Year, then click Add Book.
• This will:
  1. Add the book to your own database, with the information you filled in.
  2. Add the book to our Core central online book database.

The result: for the next user who searches for this particular ISBN, it will be recognized 🙂
