The CLZ database software is absolutely brilliant, thank you very much indeed.
I have been using it since version 9 but decided to re-catalogue my whole CD collection into the current version rather than import it, as I wanted the time to review (and remember) what I have (many of my CDs go back to the 1980's as you will see!)
During the entry of some of my more obscure titles I used Discogs to get the actual artwork of my actual CD when CLZ did not return an image. I just love the versatile way CLZ works in this regard.
I am constantly singing the praises of CLZ to my friends.

Great app
While it’s similar to Discogs, I prefer it much more. You can manipulate the artist name any way you want so that you can create a database that mirrors your physical collection. Want Tom Petty to be under “P”? No problem! Want to have Cream albums beside your Clapton albums? No problem! You also have lots of space to include any other information you want. Personally I keep track of specific information on the album itself - quality of pressing, flaws with the cover etc so that if I am crate digging I can compare copies with accuracy. I also keep track of when I listened to it last, if I’ve cleaned it with my ultrasonic cleaner and I even log reviews.
The point is it’s very versatile to augment your information and collection the way YOU want to see it. In my case, it acts as a database of information and I have an exact digital mirror of my physical collection. Why flip through thousands of albums when I can simply scroll through them?
Wonderful app, highly recommended. — johnnyguitargoy (Canada) on CLZ Music

Great
Came here because discogs stopped working correctly on my phone. I find this to be a bit more user friendly than discogs. — mitchell culver on CLZ Music

WOW!
Wow, alot better then Discogs, easier to use. I found that 2 records so far not listed which one was common boxset and shipped around the world. The one with just 100 copies ever made, that one was listed. So funny. Will be entering the info on vinyl missing tomorrow. So far better than Discogs! — Gary Latendresse on CLZ Music

Mus have for serious collectors
For music collectors that have a desire to register their collection, there are no suitable alternatives for the software and apps of collectorz.com. Don’t think for a minute the Discogs app is adequate. — Cdvriend.nl on CLZ Music

So macht archivieren Spaß
Hatte bisher immer Discogs zur Archivierung meiner umfangreichen Platten- und CD Sammlung. Mit dem Barcode Scanner geht das alles hier bei CLZ ganz einfach. Perfekt. — Knutschke on CLZ Music

A very good program with room for improvement
I do not have a huge vinyl collection as I am just starting to rebuild my record collection. At present I have 146 albums and box sets, with another 10 albums on the way here. I had a large CD collection, but I have been winding this down as I build my vinyl collection so I am not sure yet whether I will catalogue this as well. To date I have been using a Discogs derivative "Discographic" and found it quite good, but very basic, with very limited sorting, or editing capability. I have completed entering my collection into CLZ Music and hence the main title above. The searchable database for album recognition is not as good as Discogs and you do end up spending more time having to take pictures of the LP sleeve/cover. This is one area that I would appreciate improvement on. In addition I had to enter the data because the ability to transfer the data from Discographic did not work effectively for me. Now this maybe related to my computer knowledge level, but I would think that for collectors with a real collection of size this would be a major deterrent to converting to CLZ Music. The above points do not detract from the fact that this app/program (I have the desktop version as well) is very versatile, editable and a good program that has shown a commitment by the developer over the years to deal with issues and to improve, plus expand it's capabilities. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the above points. — gcurren on CLZ Music

Worth every cent
The music collector software is AWESOME : will be removing my entire collection (many years work) from Discogs, their rules on DJ mixed cd's are just weird - the cost Collectorz software licence is worth every cent....thanx guys. — David Boyce (Australia) on Music Collector

Recording them in Music Collector
I have a few thousand records. I'm about 2/3 of the way through recording them all to my computer as well as recording them all in music collector and discogs.
Long slow task but I take my time to do it properly. :) — Steve O'Neil (Australia) on Music Collector
