A little story. Long ago, I had a good-sized collection of old movies on VHS tapes, things I’d mainly recorded off of TCM. I painstakingly made a printed catalog of them, including brief reviews from Leonard Maltin’s book.
All those tapes eventually went to a dumpster, along with our VCR. So I began to acquire DVDs. Recently I thought, “Why not have a directory/catalog of those discs like my old VHS catalog?” And then I thought, surely there must be an app to make this easier and not require me to type everything.
Two days ago, I checked out the App Store and downloaded a different app. At first, it seemed to work great, finding most titles from their barcodes, and I was excited. The following day, however, it wouldn’t find ANY cover images, and it then lost ALL the images from my library.
I did some Googling and read nice things about CLZ, so I downloaded it. That was yesterday. CLZ was superior in every way to the original app I’d tried: so fast, so thorough, and with the added benefits of movie trailers, IMDB ratings…and most importantly, the ability to sync between my iPad and my phone. I quickly added about a hundred movies last night and will do many more in the next day or two. Just this morning, I realized how to add things by title for a wish list.
Sorry about the lengthy message, but TL;DR I LOVE your app! It does everything I needed, plus much more. Scrolling through all those beautiful covers is really gratifying.

Normally I don't give 5 stars because everything can be improved BUT I'm going to make an exception here. I currently own 1800 DVD movies and previous app wasn't working properly and I could only grab 1100. So now I have to move them over and rescan 700. Ran into a lot of issues trying to move them over(user error I'm sure). So now I have to rescan all 1800 now.

I'm currently rebuilding / upgrading my collection and often lose track of what I've got and or had in my head when I'm out bargain hunting. It's really handy to have it all in one place and that I can carry with me. All the stats and stuff that come with the collecting part is just gravy.

I collect physical media. I swore by the other app that I was using for my movie collection, never left them a review but then I found this app.
Not only is this app the perfect way to categorize my films but I can also add TV shows that I have as well. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye but it’s very easy to use. I cannot say anything bad about this app. You can also back up your information so you don’t lose it and at $14.99 a year, you really can’t beat that.

I have had this program almost from when it started as just a windows program. Now it is a full blown app. I have had very few issues with this app. When I have had a problem I contacted them and within a day or two I get a response and it is fixed. I have four of their apps and they are all great.

This is the best app for cataloging your movie collection. The amount of detail is amazing. You can group your videos in collections say, movies, tv shows, cartoons, etc. In your movies, tap an actors name, and it will show all your movies with that actor. Can add custom artwork, detailed notes, and so much more. And having it a paid subscription means that this app is kept up to date and constantly improved. First off, I love this app. It’s a great way to keep track of my movie collection and I especially love the link to the IMDb movie app which I use all the time. When I had some difficulty adding one of my movies so that it included the IMDb link, tech support worked at fixing the problem and showed plenty of patience in their correspondence with me to ensure I was able to follow the necessary instructions (I am not very technical myself). I gotta say, the app has been very pleasant and very easy to use, thus far. I am beyond pleased with it and I am kicking myself for not thinking to use something like this before. A friend of mine suggested another app called "Movie Buddy". But that didn't appear to be available for the Android platform. After doing some research, I discovered CLZ Movies. It is going to be a huge help for me as I have over 2800+ titles to upload as I am moving into a new apartment. I figured I will catalog my DVD collection as I am moving to make it easier.
