This error usually pops up when Movie Collector doesn’t have enough rights to access certain files, however it can also happen if you use some kind of data sync program such as Google Drive, OneDrive, iDrive or something similar.

It might be a “rights” problem

To try and fix this problem please reinstall { software with Admin Rights. Here’s what to do:

  1. Download your Collectorz software again from your CLZ Account page.
  2. Click the download button for your platform and download the version you’re entitled to, save it to your computer (do not run the installer).
  3. Right click on the downloaded installer, and select ‘Run as Administrator’.
  4. This will install the program with Administrative rights.
  5. Now launch the program and see if the problem has been resolved.

Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox is in the way

If you use Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or something similar, try and exclude the Movie Collector folder in Documents from syncing with Google Drive (or similar).
