Exactly what I needed
Spectacular, fantastic, uncanny, incredible. I catalogued all of my comics and TPBs using barcode scanner, title search, and custom records. Sorted based on custom tags and locations, purchase and read dates. The Core database reflects multiple editions and variant covers, perfect for ensuring the obsessive collector can create a comprehensive wish list. Index and thumbnail displays allow efficient and aesthetically stimulating navigation through my collection. I use this app more than I text. The unlimited feature is worth every penny. Truly Amazing.

Great partner app to the computer software. Love having my collection at my finger tips so there's no needless spending on doubles.added to the that is having the ability to have multiple devices on at the same time makes convention hauls easier to maintain while hunting down things needed. Overall have not had many issues with inventory some lesser known comics are not always in there but they make adding them smooth and painless. Love the approach of this company and their softwares.

Portable Excellence!
I used to occasionally buy duplicates of comics when out and about, or miss out on comics I wanted to complete collections. This App has allowed me to keep an easy to reference list of my collection on my person without it having to be an extensive Word Document!

Just what I needed
I have thousands of comics, and I needed a way to know what I had when I shop for back issues. You can scan the Barcode on the comics using your phone. Perfect. I love it.

Definitely worth installing
I tried Comics Price Guide to maintain my comic collection, but you're only limited to 50 comics without paying a monthly fee. With CLZ, I can store twice that, and I honestly won't mind paying for unlimited use later down the line with a one-time purchase.

Finally!
I started trying to organize my comic collection on MS-DOS in the 80s and have tried every computer program and/or website that has come along since then including creating my own database in Foxpro and Microsoft Access back in the day. This is by far the easiest and most robust comic book database program ever created. Worth every penny!

Excellent for novice collector like me
I'm new to comics and wasn't sure what to use. This was a popular alternative and I've not only used it religiously for 6mo but paid an upgrade fee after 100 comics entered. I love the bar code scanner for entry into your database. Paying a one time low fee to store more than 100 comics was very reasonable and gave me enough wiggle room to see if I really liked it before paying. Graphics, sorting, edit ability are all great. Developers are constantly pushing updates as well. Highly recommend.

Best App for tracking Comic Collection
Would not use any other app to track what comic books I have/need. Spreadsheets and pen/paper are obsolete thx to this app. Nice to always have my haves/needs with me where ever I go and can update haves/needs straight from phone when I buy a book.

Leider fehlen immer noch ein paar Cover von den neuesten heften oder Varianten. Eine Verknüpfung mit dem Overstreet wäre echt toll, dann hat man immer den aktuellsten Wert seiner Hefte bzw. Sammlung. Vielleicht ist das ja mal in naher Zukunft möglich.

Only gripe is that it doesn't always scan the bar codes even though the code is totally clear and visible. That might just be the nature of bar codes though.

Much, MUCH, improved
I had this app when it was still in its infancy (1.6.5 or something close)... Friends were telling me that this was the app to have for a good comic book database. I decided to give it a look to see what had been improved, and I find that the ENTIRE thing has been overhauled and upgraded to something awesome. This is the kind of database I was looking for five, or more, years ago. What an awesome job!

Outstanding app for cataloging
The free version was pretty good, but I then decided to buy into it and I'm no longer bound by only 100 comics. Being an avid collector with over 5 long boxes of comics, which comes out to well over 1,000 books, I can catalog my comics and find out which ones I do and do not have so I do not make the mistake of buying doubles. Thank you CLZ. Oh and by the way your book app is great too!!!

Great app
I started collecting comics with the release of DC Rebirth series. This app has been a essential part of my collecting. Scanning comics to add to my collection is so easy and the cloud sync gives me peace of mind that if anything happens to my phone, I'm good. Also syncs well between the desktop version. Makes it easy to catalog everything.

Convenient and simple
Bar focusing can be troubling some times but with decent lighting and a steady hand I'm able to catalogue on my phone faster than by hand and not have to worry about forgetting my catalogue when I go out.

Best app for large comic collections
Have tried several, this is the only one that hasn't been abandoned after a few days. Adding books via bar code is super trivial. Added 50 books to my collection in about 5 minutes.

Well worth the money
A $15 app will make you pause and think, but I am very happy I paid for it. I use this app, and I have a subscription to the web version. My books have never been so well organized. I have an extensive collection of African-American superheroes and I looked everywhere for a well organized and aesthetically pleasing way to present them. This app does both. I'm very glad I bought it.

Been collecting for 25+years and at a stage where I don't really know what I've got and what's missing and where it's stashed. This is exactly what I need to do all the above. Professionally done. Very easy to use and can upload all of your collection to CLZ website with ease. The only negative I can think of it doesn't provide you with current value of your books. It won't stop me from using CLZ though and I will use it for comic cons shopping!

The only thing this app doesn't currently have is release dates for future issues. Otherwise it's terrific. I bought it for my iPhone and wised up soon after and went with a Samsung. Customer service helped me get things squared away so I could continue to use this app unrestricted on my new phone. Well worth the cost.

Mandatory for any collection
Great app to manage your comics. I am using it in combination wit "Comic collector" for Windows (also available for Mac). Add comics manually, scan barcodes or add them/select comics from their huge database, it is all possible. Don't forget their support which is very quick and good! For a comic collector like me I give this app a full 5 star rate!!

A must for comic collecting
Rarely do I take the time to rate a product or app, much less write a review, but as a 40 year plus comic collector I can think of no product that has had more utility for me than Collectorz for comics...except maybe my phone and my car! It is an absolute must for any serious comic collector rooting through back issue bins and needing to make sure they do not buy something they already have. And it not only has utility, it is aesthetically pleasing to use.

I had a CLZ account for my comics a long time ago, when the mobile technology wasn't quite up to the task yet. Now, however, this is running GREAT on my Android phone and I look forward to buying the full version once I see how well it deals with the full hundred comics that the free version allows!

Great comic collecting app!
Don't let the price scare you. This app is worth it for those who collect comics. It is well organized, easy to maneuver, easy to add comics, provides cover pics, and a synopsis of each comic. This app has prevented me from buying duplicates, helped me identify what artists worked on each comic for getting autographs at ComCons, and assists me in finding the comics I'm searching for with the wish list. And it also comes with it's own cloud storage for backing up your collection and viewing it online. Great app. Worth every penny.

Good Thus Far
I had this app recommended to me while I was rifling through some back issues at Hastings going out of business sale. I just started using the barcode scanner to start cataloging all of my comics as a weekend project. So far it's been really nice. I don't have much experience, but I also don't really have any complaints. Since it's doing everything I need it gets five stars.

Simple yet great app!
The only thing I'd consider adding (unless it's already implemented and I can't find it) is a way to go to a series and bring up any missing issues. For example, if I have Spider man #5-8 10-20, it would be nice if the app recommend issues #1-4, #9. Thats me being picky on an already great app!

Constantly improving
I work at a comic shop and reccommend this app to anyone who will listen. Most of the time I get people coming back in thanking me for pointing them in the direction of this useful resource. It's just such great catalog app, that is always finding new ways to improve. CLZ has become a more organized extension of my brain. I used to have spreadsheets and documents cataloging everything I need, but it is waaaaay easier to use this.

Great redesign!
UPDATE: The ability to add comics by barcode is much appreciated! (Oct. 2016) I love Comics Collector for tracking my collection, and this app allows me to take my comics with me. Especially useful when shopping for comics to fill gaps in your collection. Still so handy to have my whole collection including wish list in my pocket.

Worth it
Yeah, the full version is pricey at $14, but I'm pretty sure it's already saved me more than that in not buying duplicates. The other good thing, I put the app on my husband's tablet (he has his own Google account) and when I signed into the app it unlocked the full version as it synched all our comics.

Best comic inventory app bar none!
This app has been a lifesaver. I don't have a very large collection by the standards of some, but it has gotten increasingly unwieldy as the years pass and I keep buying more books. The biggest issue for me was inadvertent doubles; books I already owned but had forgotten about. With this app on my phone, that is a problem of the past and the money saved has more than made up for the app's purchase.

I have the Games and Movies app. While those are good this comic app l love a lot. Not only does it scan in the comics but it puts them in the proper volumes and can tell you the variants that you may or may not have. With trades it'll tell if it's hardcover or paperback. Superior app!

Perfect for the obsessive collector
It takes lot of one-time work to scan your collection, but after it's all uploaded, this app makes tracking your collection easy. It also suggests an order for books, which sounds like a simple task but really ends up being difficult to standardize (e.g. Does "Marvel Presents: Wolverine" go under W or P?) I don't know what I'd do without CLZ for my comics.

Tricky at first
I have a pretty large collection, wanted to use the scanner to catalogue it. At 1st I couldn't seem to get it to work but once I placed books directly under a light I rolled easily thru them. App is a bit expensive but in the end it is worth it.

Easy to use large data set
I would love for a desktop version to round out the access to the info. Just been using a few minutes and am probably going to upgrade to full version. Added many books from my silver and bronze collection in minutes with cover images. Some of the cover images don't have a large version so there is some pixelation when going to enlarged view.

I dreamed it and it happened
Started getting heavily into comics and as a completionist and chronic organizer I thought I came up with an app idea in which you can sort your comics and even scan bar codes. Simple search led me to CLZ. Paying the premium was far worth it so I can use on multiple devices and Lord knows I've bought my fair share of comics. If you're an organizer and love going to the local shop and checking your collection and seeing what variants you have at home if you can't remember...this is f'ing perfect.

Perfect for collectors
I have over 2500 comics and i carry 30+ titles on my pull list every month. This app is perfect for keeping everything organized. Very extensive library, i don't own a comic that isn't included in my clz database (including covers). New titles are very up to date, I'm able to keep track of what's coming out two months away. Great job!

Newest version fixes
Updated to newest version as of 9/8/2016. Changes to interface are just what the doctor ordered. Previous issue i had with seeing the check boxes in the add comics mode, using the dark background is solved. Very nice job. Spectacular piece of software.

From "Barely worth it" to Excellent
My original 2014 review gave it only 2 stars but they have made great movements forward since then. CLZ is currently hands down the best app for comic lovers. Functionality and capabilities are terrific, making it an easy 5 stars. Sure, I could envision some UI adjustments but for what it currently does, I highly recommend it. Pairs perfectly with their online service as well. It is one of those apps you use and not get frustrated with because it isn't riddled with stuff you don't need or want.

Invaluable tool for comic collectors!!
I use the app to enter new comics using the Barcode scanner, and then to make sure I don't buy duplicate comics when I hit cons, local shops, etc. It has made it easy for me to see the missing issues I am looking for, or to track my want list. I use the desktop version as well on my mac pro. There are not a lot of options available for Mac users and this is by far the best no matter which platform you use. The desktop version is great, it let's you edit your details so much faster and easier than w/ an app.

Functional & Syns Well
We're longtime users of CLZ mobile and the desktop version. They sync well via the cloud. I've used the mobile version at conventions and comic shops to make sure I don't buy somthing we already have. And to check what issues we're missing when I find an old series we collect in a $1 bin somewhere. Easy to edit, add and view. Always room to improve, but a solid and usefull, well maintained app.

This app just gets better and better. I was at a comic book convention today and while I was checking my phone to see if I already had this book or that, I overheard a guy talking on his phone. He was trying to direct someone to his short boxes so that they could see if he already had a particular book. I was done fishing through the discount bin even before he had checked in his first book. And then, back at the hotel, I have been easily adding my new titles to the database so that I don't even have to wait to get home to do that. And I'm sure that tomorrow I will not buy any duplicates because my database will be up to date.

Best app, and support
By far the only app I've found for keeping track of your comic book collection, and the best customer support. I had an issue with my payment not registering after some time not using the app, so I emailed support with a picture of my payment history, and within a couple hours the issue was resolved. I don't usually leave reviews, but it made my night. So worth it.

Amazing! Fantastic! Incredible!
My wife and I decided to stop typing all of my comics into my computer and opted to just scan in the barcode. We added 8 years of comics into the database. This took a few hours obviously but you can scan multiples and then proceed to put them into your collection instead of one at a time. I would like for it to count the number of comics in a volume like Aquaman new 52 volume 1 has issues 1-6 but it counts it as 1 comic which I get but it would just be nice. Overall it's a great app and very organized and I will suggest it to other collectors.

Hands down, the best app of it's kind
First off, let me say, the staff was extremely helpfull when I had a syncing issue. (Which was clearing the data in Google play store storage) as far has the app itself, beautifully designed, easy to catalog, great for reference when I'm at my LCBS and wondering if I have a particular issue or if I want to pull a certain issue for a Con. If I could I'd give it 6 stars.........

You can't please everyone
Overall a stellar comic inventory app; the best out there. But I wish the scanner could read older UPC's. It would also be useful to be able to add comics to my collection by accessing the titles already in my collection. After a marathon of data entry I have all of my collection catalogued but wound up with a handful that was not found in the database. Again, a must have for any serious collector and we'll worth the price.

Enjoying it
This app has allowed me to organize my entire golden and silver age collection that numbers in the thousands. The biggest advantages? First, because it's an app I put it on my phone and know what I have and what I don't when I hit the convention or comic store. If there's a run I'm looking to fill and run across a nice book, I know whether I have it or not. Second I can add the grade, notes (is it slabbed) and add my own pic. The last part is my latest project. I plan on using it for insurance purposes plus it's nice to have. Third, I have been amazed at how many issues are represented. But on those rare occasions I have say, a rare golden age issue that's not in the data base, I just add it with my own pic. All in all I'm pretty happy with it and it has covered my needs.

I've had the app for sometime. One day it just didn't work for some reason, the images wouldn't show but Clz's customer service came through. They assisted me with the issue, they were very helpful, made sure it was fixed. Thumbs up to the staff and app. Ps. Would be great if they had one for action figures/toys.

Time saver
This app is going to make documenting my collection much easier. The only item i would change is: make the check boxes more visible in the "add issues" section. It took me a while to see them and i was getting frustrated on how to add issues. They are a very thin outline on a black background. All other facets of the app work very well.

Quit easy to add your comics and offers cover views and full descriptions. I recommend it if you're wanting to keep your collection organized and have want lists, etc. Cloud backups and device syncing. Only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars was the kinda steep price to go to unlimited storage.

Works great, worth the price!
Free app allows up to 100 entries. $15 unlocks unlimited entries which I think is totally worth it if you have a huge collection. Barcode scanner works amazing. Really easy to batch scan an entire series to a queue, then select all the variant covers for each issue, and add to your collection. Series and volumes are collated neatly and the database is thorough.

Easy to add comics in this database
My friend and I buy each other comic books and we both use this app to keep our collections up to date. It's useful to have this app because we can easily look through what we own to verify whether we own an issue, Trade Paperback, or series. My dad purchased the full app for CLZ movies and he loves it so I took a chance on this comic app made available by the same company.

Awesome app for organizing comics via your phone. Especially if you're like me and forget where you left off collecting. Just add all your comics in either using the barcode scan, manually type it in or just look it up by title. Very handy little app. It's worth the 15$ to upgrade if you have a large collection like me. If you have under 100 comics this is also a perfect app.

I have many comics.... MANY COMICS. I used to be able to see a comic and know whether I owned it or not, but that shipped sailed long ago and thanks to this, I don't waste money on duplicates. Pricy but worth it
I love this app. It allows you to quickly and easily view and update your collection. The only downside is the price, but it will probably pay for itself by eliminating duplicate purchases. The layout is easy to navigate, and it's quick and easy to upload to/download from the cloud to sync multiple devices. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great useful app
Everything about the app is a great time and money saver. If you're working hard to complete a run, this is your app. If you wanted to sell of your doubles without the headache of digging through the longboxes, this is your app. My only complaint lies in the fact that it doesn't auto synchronize across multiple devices via cloud. You have to make sure you do that frequently. Other than that small suggestion it's fantastic.

Just getting into collecting and this app (companion to desktop but standalone) is wonderful. Just scan in a barcode to a new book, and all the relevant info is auto entered, including cover art. organized into series and volumes as needed- automatically. Syncs flawlessly with Mac desktop version. I also have the Books version for my regular book collection. Highly recommended!

Money saver, time saver, life saver
Money saver because you dont accidentally buy four copies of the same issue simply because they have different covers. Time saver due to the barcode entry method being super fast (and since the update batting a thousand at recognizing which subcover). And it cannot be said loudly enough that the cloud sync is a lifesaver when your collection is extremely sizable and your device and all it's data are completely destroyed.

A must for avid comic collectors
I can't say how many times I come across a random comic book store and pull out this app and know exactly what I need to look for. Also helps with just knowing what comic are in the same serious. A little lacking on info on some series though. Very rare to find problems.

It is THEE BEST comic collections app or program and EASIEST TO USE on the market. Years ago I made my own spreadsheet and updated it with fields most important to keeping data on individual comics, condition, price paid, value, etc. years ago. Until this app, nothing came near ease of use like this app. This is the first app/program which includes most everything on my spreadsheet files (except for built in book values). The other program on the market requires a very large amount of memory & storage space on the disc storage, bulky to use, partly because of the values. When out buying comics this little app is an absolute MUST HAVE! Easy to use! Photos are nice with cover variants. The app is on phone and tablets. LOVE IT! Best of all is the developers are working diligently to make improvements and are responsive to emails for support. WIN - WIN APP!

Most Excellent
I bought this app to catalog my growing collection of comic books. I love the ability to scan a barcode and add a book, although the barcode databases are not always the most accurate. When that fails, I never fail to get a hit by searching the title. I have noticed you must type the complete title exactly as it is on the book to get a result. As a general rule, I try free apps before plunking down the money for an app, especially one that costs this much. It is worth every cent!

The Best collector app out there!
Have thousands of comics catalogued in my collection. Invaluable tool. Especially when searching through the bins at a store or comic con trying to fill the holes in collection. I pity the fools beside me with their paper lists. I use the desktop version to catalogue my collection and sync my phone app to it from anywhere. Easy. Beautiful program. Love it!

No, it's not the end all, be all comic database. What it IS is easy to use, fast, mobile, and can be backed up. It does wish lists and collections so I can see at a glance what I need as I'm slumming it in the dollar bins. And at $20 per 25k comics it's cheaper than the subscription service I had used. Very pleased.

I have the Games and Movies app. While those are good this comic app l love a lot. Not only does it scan in the comics but it puts them in the proper volumes and can tell you the variants that you may or may not have. With trades it'll tell if it's hardcover or paperback. Superior app!

Great app for collectors!
I'm compeletly loving this app. I do have two issues with it. Not knocking it for them. but if you do here they are. 1: if there's not a barcode, searching some comics is a bit harder. And 2: I wish that if you have one issue in a run, it will let you know the other issues in that run so they are easier to look at and add when you do get those issues. Other than that it is a great app. I highly recommend it!

With great collections comes great organisation
As with a lot of comic collectors, I've got a collection of several thousand issues. I'm still trialling this app but it seems the best on the market. The barcode scanner is a gift sent from the Beyonder himself. However I find that if I am scanning TPBs, the barcode scanner doesn't seem to work so I have to manually enter it. But from what I have seen, I would definitely recommend this as an alternative to sites like mycomicstash for when your in the comic shop/convention.

This is by far the best App for collecting. I use it all the time to load each Wednesday's new books and always have it on my phone, so if I find a book, I can quickly browse my library to see if I have the issue or not. It's a solid build. And updates are always great improvements. I have 4000 comic books, and this app is everything I need and more for my large library.

Great catalogue
I have over 12000 comics . It was a labour of love to catalogue them but very easy to keep up to date now. Not as many sort options as the pc version and cover flow would be nice but still a nice app for a tablet.

Good up to date collection app
I've tried a few other comic collection apps and most haven't been very good. Several had a hard time finding the comics I would look for and others were no longer being developed which made updates impossible. Upon first use of this app it seems really good, I can find any comic I search for and even see all of the variant covers which other apps don't do which makes collecting much easier. The price for adding space for more comics seems reasonable with how many I currently own.

This app made organizing my completely unorganized 4,000 book collection very easy. Also makes adding new to the collection very simple as well. My only complaint is that, at least I do not think, you cannot search by creator( artist, writer, inker). Hopefully this will be a feature added to future versions.

I have scanned over 3,100 books to the app so far. Very helpful in keeping track of what I have and being able to look at it quickly. I didn't realize how many duplicates I have accumulated over years of collecting. I would love to have the app tie to a comic value guide and show what the average value is or something along those lines. Thanks for the awesome app.

So far so good
Barcode scanning works great so far. I had to enter a book manually, probably because of its age, I was worried because the database couldn't find the cover. The app has a feature that allows you to take a photo of the cover so when your browsing your inventory it doesn't look like one of those "cover not available pictures". You can also sync with other devices. Storage is limited to 100 books and .99 for another hundred.

This app makes keeping track of all your comics easy, the scan feature is great and works flawlessly and if no barcode is present its very easy to snap a picture of the comic and add it manually. I have owned an iPhone for over 4 years and this is the first app I have ever made a purchase on! (Need more inventory room!). Have been using this app for over a year, great way to keep track of collection. Most useful when at a convention and buying new issues. Sometimes wrong cover pops up but then it's quickly fixed.

For a collector, just excellent
Comic collector is the whole package, especially if the desktop package is subscribed for. Easy to add to your collection, good data for most majors, flexible to edit. If you have more than a couple of boxes to keep track of, very powerful.

I love it, and never have any problems using it. I use the IPad and bought the PC version also. I did that so I would have the application on everthing I use. I have over 9000 Comics and have had zero problems using this software. Keep doing what you are doing.

Does the job well
Works well. I like the barcode scanning feature -- very handy. You can also do a search of the database if there's no barcode (or if it doesn't). - the database is pretty extensive. Even some offbeat comics were in there...impressive. Overall the UI could be tweaked in areas but overall a great app.

Great app, found if your having problems with the scanner switch from 5 to 2 to 0 till it scans, great app works exactly as advertised. Only this I would change is to show current value of the comic books, but understandably this requires alot of work to implement. But could broaden the market appeal.

So far so good!
This app is extremely useful for keeping track of my collection. It stores all of my books nicely in alphabetical order, and give me the ability to pull it up quickly while I'm at the comic shop. I really like the way it shows me all the variant covers available. And it also gives me an idea as to which back issues I'm missing in a particular run. They give you 100 slots for free which is really generous, and after those 100 slots are full you have the option to purchase a larger slot package. I recommend!

I shelled out the 15 bucks for the full app before leaving for Wondercon, and I never regretted it. Having a reference tool on me wherever I go for my comics is so amazingly handy. I can look up comics by title, characters, or creators. The list of comics gets updated regularly, and so far there's only 1 variant I own that isn't listed, which isn't bad at all. If you are even half serious about organizing or collecting comics, this app is a must have.

Completely Superb
This is easy to use and has no problem handling my collection of over 66,500 comics. I use it on my phone, tablet & laptop/desktop. I don't know how I ever made it for so long without this. I will NEVER go to another comic shop, convention, heck I won't go anywhere again without this, because you never know when you may need to know what you do have & what you need. Super useful and pretty easy to use
Works great and helps a ton not picking up doubles anymore. Looking up by title is simple and typing in barcodes is easy, however as stated in another review, scanning the Barcode only works sometimes on my galaxy note 5. Only downside, however a small blemish on such a great app. I definitely recommend getting this one for even the moderate comic book reader.

Comic tracking made easy
As an avid comic collector I've been using all sorts of tools to try and keep everything in order. Spreadsheets and pictures. Now with this app I can do it in the scan of a Barcode. So easy and organized. Only bad aspect is it won't list new releases of series you are following in your wish list. I have to add ones I may have missed or new ones instead of it being automatic when I have a subscription to a series. Other than that it's great!

Really helps keep my collection organized. Only things I would add are collection statistics (how many comics, series with most comics, complete series, etc.) and a way to easily mark if the comics were signed. I'm making a note of it right now but it'd be cool if they had their own category and/ or a badge to go on the cover picture.

This is by far the best way to keep track of comics. I have over 12,000 comics and I have never had a great way to catalogue them. This app may seem expensive but, trust me, it is WELL worth it. This has been a great tool for adding comics to my collection and for tracking them on the go! Only feature it is missing is a value tool. If it could pull data from the places like eBay, etc, for valuation purposes that would make it a 10 star rating. (I know Google uses a 5 star rating) it is that good! I use the Mac Version and the Android and sync them together.

GREAT APP
Found this a while ago and been waiting for a while to get it. Don't know why I waited so long to get it. I got it less than a week and have already put over 2000 comics in it. I can do a box of 300 books in about 10 mins. The selector for different variants makes it easy to identify which version I got. I'll be getting the desktop version soon cause it has an ability to add a whole series at once instead of book by book. That's the only flaw. Phone version is one book at a time checked off the list then added together but the desktop can do a complete series in one click. The scan feature is fast for newer books and adding books takes seconds. This is the best version of comic recording software I've seen. I highly recommend this to anyone looking at it.

This app is perfect for anyone that is just starting out collecting and for those with already a extensive collection. Never again will you have to shuffle thru a box to double check your collection, plus take with you on the go while digging for new additions. Adding comics with the barcode option works better with current comics; if you have older comics I would recommend using the "add by title" option.

Best Comic Collector Database
I have been using CLZ for some time now, and in my opinion there is no better way to catalog a large collection. I have over 9000 comics and this app allows me to keep track of every comic I own as well as comics I have on order. It also allows you to keep a wish list, so no more heading out to a sale with handwritten notes. And you can quickly scan comics with your phones scanner.

I have a small collection of comics (only around 1000). I have recently realized I need a way to remember which titles I've already bought while flipping thru the bins at comic shops or vendors at cons. Awesome app for any collector! Really easy to add your comics and a quick way to check what you have. I've got old and new comics from different publications known and not, and so far it hasn't had any problems finding the comic I was adding! On my first go I added 170 comics and I had to take a pic of just one cover because it couldn't find it. Personally I really like this app and I'm very happy that I purchased it!

For serious collectors
If you are serious about comics, then this is a must have app. There have been maybe 2 times in 3 years I haven't be able to add a book. But after a quick email, they were added quickly on both occasions. The new update is my favorite version. All complaints I had were addressed. I have recommended this app to all of my buddies. I collect retro games too and actually found out about their game app from the guy who was the geniuses book world record holder for the most games. I looked into that and that's when I found out they had a comic book version. If it was good enough for him, then the comic version had to be stellar. And that it is. I love being able to add notes, as in who signed the book. I love being able to put the grades on my graded books. Okay, my point is, you should stop looking and buy. The price might seem high, but the search feature is amazing and worth its weight in gold. When I'm getting ready for a Con, I just search the contributors name and it quickly pulls up what books I own from that person. What use to take weeks now takes 1-2 days to prep for big convention. Hope everyone enjoys this app as much as I do.

Perfect!
Great app. You can have it on iPhone and iPad and update only one. Edit or insert pictures etc all user friendly. Nearly 100% perfect.

Great for collections of all sizes
Having only recently started collecting comic books I bought this based on my experiences with CLZ Movies. This app has become invaluable as my collection grows. If I'm looking to know which alternate covers I already have or which back issues I'm missing from a line it's all there in my phone.

Probably the best app for any "nerd" like myself
I'm 18 years old and ever since my dad took me to a local comic shop around the age of 7, I've been in love with the hobby of collecting. Of course it takes hard work to remember all of the issues you have and especially how long I have been doing it for. Because of that, when I was around 16 I bought this app and for the last two years Ive been praising this app to all my local shops and "nerd" friends. This app is fast and quick and has a unique database of almost every well known comic and even some no one has even heard of. It's good for new collectors and veterans. Probably out beats any other of its kind. The price is well worth the time and money you'll save by getting this app. Highly recommended by me!

Best Comic App EVER
Recently purchased an iPad and I love the set up on it for CLZ. I recommend this app to all my friends and tell them it's completely worth the money. I've had it for close to 4 years now and it saves me time and money from buying doubles of issues. LOVE THIS APP!!!!

Great app!
I've been using the desktop version of this program since CLZ released it for the Mac, and I've always liked it. The iPad version is even better because my collection is almost always with me. Syncing with CLZ's cloud storage is simple, and I can keep both versions of the program updated. With each upgrade, more functionality is added, and the app gets better and better.

Great for comic collectors!!
This is a great app for keeping up with your comic collection. I love the many options you get, such as rating individual issues, marking them as read or not, putting their storage location, a wish list, adding custom covers, etc. I also like that the database is always up-to-date, and includes older comics as well. It's honestly worth the fifteen dollars, if you need some way to keep your collection organized in a convenient and easy to use way. The only drawback is that you can't simply add a new issue of an ongoing series from your collection page, you have to go into the search function. If you could do that, I would give this a five star rating. It's still worth the fifteen dollars, though, and I'm so glad I bought it!

Essential tool for comic book collectors
This is the best app for cataloging comic books. I walk into my local comic book shop and open this app while I go through boxes of comics. Now I don't waste time and money on comics I already have. I buy new comics and scan the bar codes, and it automatically catalogs my books. I use this and the CLZ movie app. The app easily syncs to the CLZ cloud database and my other devices (iPad) can be updated with the new sync. I bought the bundled app last year before it was updated with limitations. I definitely recommend upgrading so you can catalog an unlimited amount of comics. The interface is very user friendly on Apple devices and it's easy to navigate through.

Easy and awesome
Have had this app for almost 2 years and it is awesome. Makes it easy to see what is in your collection when you are in the store. Easy to scan the bar code or search by title. Notes section allows you to add notes, I use it to note signatures. There is also a place to add your Comic rating. Would highly recommend! The only con is you have to remember to save your comics to the cloud(in app), recently changed phones and had to rescan over 400 comics.

Love the app!
Added my 300+ collection, mostly pre barcode, in an hour or so instead of hours doing it the way some other apps make you do it. This was sooo easy. I've been a user for years now and am over 1000 comics in my collection. The new barcode section is great. I love this app! Well worth the price.

Great for my uses
This app is perfect for my wish list; I could finally throw my old paper checklists away! However, I would greatly prefer it if there were a way to be able to organize comics myself. Like maybe being able to put my Our Worlds At War, Blackest Night, Original Sin, Spider-Verse, etc. into their own folders and in order. But that's just a frivolity; this app is perfect in every other way!

Excellent For Collectors

The comic collecting app I've been looking for!
A fantastic app that I can't recommend highly enough. If I had to choose something to fix I would say I wish it would tell me when an issue features the first appearance of a character but that of course does not make or break the app. Just like some other reviewers I love to add some first appearance issues to my wish list whenever I'm bored so that's just another plus!

I love the update!!
I've had this app for awhile now and have really enjoyed it. I've got over 4000 comics so getting them organized has been saving me some cash. I would go to my comic store, and see a title, and think "Oh wow this title looks awesome!" Only to get home and see that I had already bought the comic at some point. With this app I can see what I have, what I need, and separate the two lists. I love the wish list feature in it also. Whenever I'm bored waiting on something, I can always go into this app and add some titles to my wish list ????. The update made this good app, a great app. Before the update it was a 4 star app. Now it's a 5 star app. If you collect comics, you need this app.

MUST HAVE FOR COMIC COLLECTORS
Have been using the app for over a year and have "0" complaints. It's easy to use to catalog my comic collection. I either scan the barcode or enter the title to add to my collection. You can add your own tags (and photos too) so you can quickly sort by variant cover, character, 1st appearance signed and CGC copies. It's really cool when you want to sell books and post a link to the web so potential buyers can choose a view (by list or cover) to flip through your collection. I can't recommend this app enough!

An Essential App For Any Collector
I usually don't write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this outstanding app. As a comic collector of 15 years, this has absolutely changed everything for me in the best possible way. Gone are the dog eared sad notebooks that used to be my list of all titles in my collection, and now I have a comprehensive, fast and extremely fun way to know EXACTLY what I own. Can't recommend this enough.

The app offers it all. The barcode scanner is very well developed and I never have any issues. The way your collection is display is beautiful and easy to find any issue. You can add your own personal notes along with the info that's filled in once you scan it.

So Far So Good
This app really works well! I've been able to use the barcode scanner and it is really accurate for up to date comics. I like how the app inventories and shows data for each book entered. The sync part is seamless. I can see that I'll have to make the in app purchase soon to add more because I will quickly exceed the limits of the 100 book limit. Excellent app!

An app so nice I bought it twice!
Had this on my iphone for over 2 years, and bought again when I switched to android. I'm so satisfied with this app, being able to organize 2500 comics and look at my want list on the go are priceless features to have as a collector! There are definitely cheaper options out there, but not with this kind of flash and ease of use to view a collection with a swipe of your finger.

Worth Every Penny

Pretty good overall
Keeps a decent inventory and can be stored in the cloud so shared across your iDevices. downside you have to manually initiate the cloud sync. adding comics is also a little tedious. the interface is pretty decent on phones, and really nice on an iPad.

I got this so I could catalogue my collection, I didn't want to have to worry about accidentally buying an issue i already had. it's simple to use, the barcode scanner works great, and you can sort you comics in many different folders. overall solid app.

I've been looking for this app since I was a kid
I tried to write my own database for my comics on my old IBM PC Jr in the mid 80's and have tried to find a good program for doing so since. Inputting all of my comics is a daunting task but this app makes it as easy as possible and I love having the covers download to my device and having the ability to check for variants especially on the old Image Comics from the early 90's. A value option would be neat to have as I would love to know what my collection would be worth when I die and my kids sell them...lol. Very reasonable price for what you get. Any collector can use this...just don't wait 30 years to input them all!

Although manually typing out all of my older comics, it makes up for it with the barcode scanner. Almost all new comics can be scanned in seconds, I recommend this app to any collector who wants to keep better track of their comics.

No more duplicates
Love the app easy cataloging, and it already saved me from buying duplicates, and my home insurance accepts it as a list of insured items, only had one problem with emailed support and they fixed it that day.

Novice+Collectorz=Marriage Made in Heaven
I'm not a collector, I just inherited some comic books and I wanted an easy way to catalog them. Wasn't sure if this app was worth the $14.99, but after a slow start, it was awesome! The barcode scanner did not work for me, as I have an iPad 2, and they told me from the beginning I might have probl ms. But when I used the search title feature, I was able to log all 255 books in a few hours. A piece of cake! I highly recommend this app. And when I had trouble with something, all I did was send them an email, and not only were they swift in responding, they went out of their way to help me. Thanks a million guys. Now if I could just get rid of these darn books!

Worth every cent
Ok, so I was stupid and went and bought this after a lot of debate with myself. Nobody recommended this app to me and I didn't read any reviews. I purchased it on faith it'd be a good app. Thank God I did. Although $15 is a lot to spend, I'd advise anyone looking to organize comics to purchase this. The app is handy it organizes them alphabetically, you can search and add manually, it gives you a wishlist option, but they have a nice scanning tool that makes this app so easy to use which is nice.

Best comic inventory program!!
This program is very easy to use and very comprehensive. Coupling the desktop pgm with the IOS app makes for great flexibility. Only drawback on either pgm is the very rudimentary print function. You can either print one comic or all of them, no way to print anything in between. Still, all in all, the best comic inventory/wishlist pgm available.

Good
It is very good. My only complaints are: it doesn't recognize variants (for instance, if it is cover 1c, scanning the Barcode will add 1a. You have to go in by title and pick the variant), the covers could be updated a little more quickly. Other than that it's pretty good. There could be some added features, but they are more a wish list of things than something I expected from this app.
