CLZ is the perfect tool for comic collectors. It gives you a breath of information and even notes if an issue is a Key Issue and why it is, if it is. The golden ability is the bar code scanner. It knows just about every issue I run into, including collected editions and trades. Even when the scanner can't tell what issue it is it still tends to get the series correct. I've been using the app since 2000 when I inherited my dad's 7000 book collection. Since then the app has had great upgrades, including a great scanner. I use the web based program on my computer, but I use the app when I'm out buying comics. It's easy to see which ones you need / have.

I was introduced to this app years ago by a friend and fellow comic fan. Like people for 50 years before me, I was keep track of issues I had and still wanted in a little notebook. Always wondering if I remembered to scratch something off or add the right volume in. Then I got this app. A simple scan every Wednesday and I’m always up to date on what I have and need. I even recently had a wonderful experience with their customer support after a new phone glitch. They followed up with me continuous until it was resolved. I’m really pleased with this app. I started collecting again, as usual by stealth. In other words, I started with one or two titles that caught my eye, and the next thing I’m some sort of galactic expert in the field with nothing off the table when it comes to additional books. Idiot.
The app has basically taken over my limited brain space and is making this fool’s endeavour considerably more manageable. It was getting to the point where I was beginning to duplicate, being certain that I didn’t have issues here, and had issues there… That’s the problem when the list gets to a certain size.
Being able to instantly refer to my entire graphic media collection is awesome. I’m not using all of the features to their full extent, but it does what I need it to do right now with plenty of scope to add extra layers of detail as and when time and will permit.
The latest update claims to fix an iPhone 14 bar code scanning issue. Maybe it does, but truth be told it hasn’t really been a problem anyway, with good lighting and a steady hand. If it’s improved at all, Brucey Bonus!
So, if you want a brilliant visual guide to your collected books, with easy to use detailed fields and the ability to create custom fields, and the ability to import data in real-time using the book’s barcode (or manually entered reference). If you want to sync to cloud and to other devices, quickly, safely, and reliably, all for a really good subscription, this is the one.
I would normally avoid anything with a subscription model like this, but it’s such a reasonable price to support the developer and the data source maintenance etc. that I really can’t say it’s not massively good value for money.
Anyway. Hopefully if you’re hovering on the edge of going for it, do it. It really is worth it and it’s a joy to use. So impressed am I that I’ve plumped for the “Book” version and probably will go for the “Music” as well. — Cap'n Stevie (United Kingdom) on CLZ Comics

Definitely a must for anyone wanting an inventory of your collection. This app makes super easy to either scan the barcode or manually enter your comic into the database. Gives a description of writer, cover artists and interior artist name. Has pictures of all the covers, including the variants.
