I have been using Music Collector today and it is the most awesome aftermarket software I have ever used! There is a little bit of a learning curve but not too much for experienced windows users. It has all the features (and more) that I would want in a software of this type and is beyond anything I would have written or developed on my own. I once made a CD database in ACCESS for myself and it took many months to populate my limited fields with HAND-TYPED Titles and Tracks! (at least it would sort album titles/tracks by alpha). I love the CD-Read feature especially but have only really needed the barcode adder for the most part.
The reason I bought this software is to see if I have a particular song (usually on some compilation CD of greatest hits of the 80's or something) where there are various artists. Do I have a copy of "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers?....well this software will find it if its in there to be found! The whole point being not to buy duplicates so much..as to find if I have it already (and odds ARE I DO!!)...But where? On What CD Might it appear???? I have been an audiophile for many years. With a large collection of Cd,s and a growing vinyl collection I was really struggling to keep track where they were filed. I was using spread sheets but there was just not enough information and it as also a tedious task. Then I found this app CLZ which is a music database. One of the beauties of this app is the simplicity in entering a new album purchased. 99% of my entries are via the barcode reader. Not only does it add the album but also shows all of the tracks, shows the cover pic, allows me to enter my personal file number and I can rate the album. It also gives a search facility by artist or song or genre. There is also my personal stats as well. I can not rate this app highly enough I absolutely recommend. — darlek1 on CLZ Music

Best app for cataloging CDs that I have found. Tried several others but none can touch this. Entry is so easy by just scanning the CD bar code. If it’s not in the data base then you do have to do some manual data entry. To date I have added 793 CDs to this data base and I have many more to go, but it’s way better than manually inputting the dates or even ripping the CD to get the data.
Would like to add all my downloaded tracks to the data base, but not sure I can do that yet. If you can’t remember what music you have and want to avoid duplication, this is the app for you — Phil14d on CLZ Music

Upset when my previous app didn’t work on IOS11. Found this and tried the free version for the 100 albums. Really impressed and bought the full version. Let me tell you that after years of using CATraxx and CATVids I have just purchased Movie Collector and Music Collector. I ran the export / import process and it all worked - perfectly. Al vanaf het moment dat ik nog kind was had ik al een behoorlijke collectie Elpees, MusiCassettes en Singles. Toen al was ik steeds bezig om titels en andere gegevens van deze platen en cassettes in grote schriften te noteren. In 1991 kocht ik mijn eerste computer en twee jaar later begon ik met de registratie van de LP's, MC's en inmiddels ook al de CD's op de PC. Voor die tijd had ik een revolutionair (DOS!) programma op de kop getikt genaamd Davilex DiscJockey. Het bood alles wat ik toen nodig had, maar het was bijzonder bewerkelijk, want elke songtitel moest je apart in een database opnemen met daaraan gekoppeld een artiest uit een andere database. Daarna kon je alle gegevens combineren tot 1 album. Vaak was je een hele avond kwijt met her registreren van slechts enkele albums!

DaviMusic was de Windows opvolger die het allemaal een stukje sneller deed met als bijzondere eigenschap dat je daar de hoezen bij kon zetten! Deze software heb ik gebruikt tot het moment dat mijn notebook in 2005 crashte en ik mijn hele administratie kwijt was. Updates voor DaviMusic bleken niet meer leverbaar en wat volgde was een hopeloze zoektocht van vijf jaar naar een goede opvolger. Deze bleek voor een veeleisend persoon als ik moeilijk te vinden.

Totdat ik in 2010 na een teleurstelling met het zoveelste CD-registratieprogramma ging Googlen en uitkwam bij Collectorz.Com. Het softwarepakket MusicCollector zag er precies uit zoals ik wilde dat het eruit zag. De demo voor 100 albums had ik al snel bekeken en een paar dagen later was de licentie een feit!

Ik kon eindelijk opnieuw aan de slag met de registratie van mijn collectie die inmiddels uit zo'n 2500 albums bestaat. Met de hulp van de centrale database en de scanfunctie voor CD's is het invoeren een kwestie van enkele minuten. Het scannen en bewerken van de hoesjes kost nog het meeste tijd!

MusicCollector is voor mij niet alleen een lijst met alle albums, het is ook een kaartenbak met alle tracks, een zoeklijst, een virtueel platenrekje waarin ik kan snuffelen om de hoezen te bekijken en een vraagbaak op het gebied van muziek.

Op dit moment zit ik op de helft van het registratieproject en mijn MusicCollector heeft inmiddels gezelschap gekregen van BookCollector waarmee ik met het zelfde gemak mijn uitgebreide bibliotheek, mijn tijdschriftencollectie en ansichtkaartencollectie aan de harde schijf kan toevertrouwen.

Sinds enige jaren gebruik ik met veel plezier MusicCollector. Ik heb er plm. 2500 Klassieke CD's in ondergebracht. Als medewerker van een plaatselijke radiozender maak ik klassieke programma's en gebruik het systeem om de gewenste tracks op te zoeken.

I have used CLZ Movie Collector for years. So I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday sale and get Music Collector along with this app. (For now you need the desktop software to use this app.) It took me about 10 hours to completely catalog my collection of about 200 CD's. I was very happy with this because I have a number of oddball items that I had to manually type in the names of all the tracks.

For any recent or more mainstream disks it is easy to add to your collection by using either bar codes or scanning the CD Itself.
I also scanned any covers that we're not available online. So with newer discs you can probably catalog 30-50 per hour. Bar codes are quickest (of course you need a scanner for this).
I haven't used it yet to catalog any digital files so I can't comment on that but it's great for what I wanted to do with it. — mrbb2000 on CLZ Music

I purchased your CD Collectorz software & love it, and have since bought Movie Collectorz Software for my 1,000 plus DVD & BluRay collection and just LOVE them both.
I bought a barcode reader and it is just soooo good entering the DVDs. I haven't finished entering them all yet, but I've been wanting this kind of database for years & years. The search facility for tracks on the CD database is MAGIC.

My name is James C. Gebbia I live in the desert southwest in the wonderful state of Arizona in the great country of the United States. I first want to say your database for collectors (mainly CDs) is great! I have at the time of writing this 11,021 silver pressed factory CDs not including 99 cdrs of various colors that are band and/or band authorized issued. I add about 25-50 CDs monthly to my collection.

I have been using Music Collector to manage my cd collection now for about 3 years. I mainly listen to all genres of rock music from 1964 to present. I really enjoy Music Collector, it keeps my collection very well organized alphabetically by band name, title of cd, year released, label and number of tracks.

Without Music Collector I wouldn't know what to do with my collection. I love to add to the database when I find that rare CD that's not in the database, but thats pretty uncommon. — James C. Gebbia on Music Collector

I am a presenter (announcer) at our local community FM radio station here in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia and I use your program to keep track of my private music collections and to submit reports about albums and tracks I have played. I find it most satisfactory for this purpose.
