I have been a very satisfied customer for many years. It is so useful and fun! I never fall behind in keeping my new book purchases entered because with the phone app I can do it in 30 seconds or less!
I LOVE being able to scroll through my book library by viewing the covers! While reading a book, I can add personal notes for future reference and to make the book more searchable for me later ( like a note as to who recommended the book to me)
AND whenever I am having a conversation and want to tell someone about a book that is relevant, I quickly do a search of my collection ( on the app), even if I can’t remember the exact title or author, usually a key word is enough to find it.
Would you believe that my personal library is over 4,500 books? I would be overwhelmed without the Bookcollector products. It is so fun to have the info available right at my fingertips on my cellphone! And to know it is safely stored on the cloud. But even if you only have 100 books (or comics or music), I highly recommend CollectorZ. I was using this app to catalog the 4000 books in my collection. After about 1000 bucks I upgraded to an iPhone 14. It turns out that the camera on the iPhone 14 will not properly scan the barcode. I contacted the developer and they immediately got back to me. They kept me informed of the progress of the upgrade. They have subsequently fixed the problem and the app works fine now.
The app itself is particularly useful if you have books published after 1967 - you can just scan the ISBN code. You have to manually enter the name of pre-ISBN books, but usually the database that the app is connected to will have some of the information. I had another app that I was using to store my collections of books that I own to help me remember but it never added titles and that app disappeared from the App Store. Excelente aplicación para catalogar tu colección de libros. Valoro el hecho de que permita exportar e importar los datos (otras aplicaciones similares no lo permiten) y de esta manera poder utilizarlos a tu conveniencia. Excelente servicio de atención al cliente que supongo debe funcionar las 24 horas del día, pues me contestaron una duda por correo al poco rato y era en domingo. La búsqueda de los libros mediante escaneo de código de barras funciona muy bien. El único inconveniente, hasta ahora, es el precio. Funciona por suscripción mensual o anual y yo preferiría un pago único, aunque habrá que ver si las actualizaciones periódicas que prometen justifican ese sistema de negocio.

If you're reading reviews to help you decide if you should splurge on the subscription - this is your sign - you absolutely should. Estimate how much time it would take you to manually catalogue your books & subtract the time it takes to just scan the barcodes of all your books. I just got this app and I love it! It was rocky setting up some of the books I have but didn’t check my email which had a welcome note with clear instructions on how to add books! I contacted customer service with some search questions and received a nice response very quickly. It’s not an automated reply! I even deleted a different book tracking app because this one is easier to use and faster! Love working with this app. Books can be entered by scanning their barcode, so it’s a powerful bookcataloguing system that’s very quick and easy to use. I make heavy use of options that allow you to personalize the settings and stored details, so it’s tailored to my needs.

If you are a book collector (a bibliophile!) then at a certain point you can’t keep an accurate track of your collection in your head. This becomes a problem when you are in a book store, you see something interesting and you really should know if you already have that book, or that particular edition or if the asking price is a bargain or too high. CLZ Books on the iPhone is a perfect way to keep track of not only what you have in your collection but also what is on your “want list” with lots of details. Using a book’s ISBN code, CLZ Books will fill in most of the critical data, including an image of the cover, and it is quite easy to add the missing pieces that are important to you (date of purchase, which bookstore, etc.). All this information sitting there sitting in your phone ready to be tapped into on a moment’s notice. I’ve been a CLZ customer for many years, starting when only a PC version was available. I didn’t choose their program lightly. It was just the best one available at the time. I have used the book cataloging software for many years to catalogue the many (many) books we have stored in numbered boxes and bags in our loft. I had also catalogued the books belonging to our local Embroidery group. We wanted to make full use of the group’s books during lockdown and with the superb help of the Collectorz support team, we set up a separate Library and included, on separate sheets, books belonging to members who were willing to loan them out. Until face-to-face meetings resume, we have an ad hoc doorstep delivery system in place, supported by the Loan facility within the software.
The CLZ Barry scanner enables members to scan the barcodes of books they are willing to loan and email the ISBN numbers directly from the App to our Librarian for logging. Subject to Covid restrictions, we can work directly with any member who has as many books as me, to load the books directly. It is particularly helpful to be able to sort on technique, subject etc as well as author and title.

I love to organize and as a homeschool mom I have nearly 1,000 books. Keeping them organized would be such a chore but this app makes it so easy! I love being able to scan the ISBN of a book to add it to my booklist. And pro tip: if you have lots of older books with no barcode, I’ve found the fastest way to enter them is to go to the keyboard for typing it in, and then click on my microphone and quickly say the numbers.
