CLZ Barry: Scanning barcodes

CLZ Barry is our free wireless barcode scanner app, available for iOS and Android. It uses your device camera to scan barcodes, then sends the resulting barcodes to the Add Comics screen in Comic Collector, over the internet.

Setting up CLZ Barry for the first time:

Step 1: On your phone or tablet:

1. First, download CLZ Barry to your iPhone or Android from the App Store/Google Play.
2. Request a Barry ID inside the app via the settings.

Step 2: On your desktop computer:

1. Open the Add Comics screen and click the CLZ Barry button top right.
2. Enter that same Barry ID and click Connect. Close the screen.
3. Click the “by barcode” tab and scan some barcodes!

Using CLZ Barry:

Next time you want to use CLZ Barry, you don’t have to go through those steps again. Just open the Add Comics screen in Comic Collector on the by barcode tab and start scanning barcodes!

*When scanning barcodes, tap the middle bottom button in CLZ Barry to set up you’re scanning for comics.
