Reviews from CLZ users
There's no other book cataloguing software to compare with the excellent quality and standard of CLZ's. Moreover, the software development team often add enhancements and new additions to the platform (app and web) which are always helpful, and add to the scope of user benefits available: for example, the automated price update for books based on average prices for them in the online marketplace is invaluable for both book buyers and sellers.
This is a wonderful service you have. Thank you thank you.
I’ve been a customer and user for many years, and use all my databases daily! I’ve recommended them to many acquaintances over the years.
We LOVE the programs, and have been telling EVERYONE we know (and don’t know) to get them. They are amazing and are the best ones around for any type of collector!
Don't get me wrong, and just for the record, I am not disparaging my smartphone (all hail our wondrous robot overlords)! Appreciate your concern, rapid follow-up, and friendly offer. I really admire you and your team, even the non-robots.
Have a great week ahead!

CLZ Alwin here, with the CLZ News for September 2025. I know, I am one day late. Yesterday was a bit too hectic with the big CLZ Movies releases, so I had to postpone the newsletter, sorry!
But yes, that immediately brings us to THE big news for September: the long awaited updates for CLZ Movies, but web and mobile, are finally live!
For Web, just log in to enjoy the new features, for the mobile app, update your app to version 10.0.
More Web news: a new feature had been added for all CLZ Web flavors, a new “Transfer Field Data” tool, which you can use for copying or moving data between fields.
And… at the end of this newsletter, I am doing a “What’s Cooking?” section again, that is, a quick summary of everything that is in progress at this very moment.
Which includes the disclosure of the secret project I announced last month, the biggest CLZ Web project in recent years. Don’t miss this big reveal!
In short, these are the topics today:
- CLZ Movies: Lots of new fields and features! (web and mobile)
- CLZ Web: New “Transfer Field Data” tool: copy or move data between fields
- CLZ Music (web and mobile): improved results for barcode searches
- What’s cooking? An overview of ongoing projects
Most of the dev team (Pim, Bernard, Michiel and AJ) have been working on upcoming updates for CLZ Movies, both mobile and web.
And we can finally release both today.
Here’s what’s new for your CLZ Movies mobile app.
It started out as a relatively small update in which we would add some new fields (just like we did for the books and music apps recently). However, the update has grown into a huge major upgrade, with several big new features that have been on our “to do” list for many years.
- Editable episode lists for TV Series
- Watch history: track multiple watch dates for your movies
- Add your own YouTube trailer links
- Extra fields for Box Sets: Purchase Price/Date/Store and Notes
- A new “Features” fields, to track available features for DVD/BR/4K
- The HDR field now allows multiple values, e.g. HDR10 *and* Dolby Vision
Check out some screenshots below!

- Adding a book without ISBN would cause it to get unlinked during syncing (which in turn could make it lose the cover)
