This is by far the best app I could find to catalogue my movie collection. It’s super easy to use: just scan the EAN barcode or enter the movie title. I am amazed and somewhat disappointed I haven't come across this CLZ Movie Collection App long before now. I've tried numerous others with dissatisfaction, and tried various apps to try and create my own, albeit, being a hard slog doing so. The CLZ Movie Collection App has taken away that massive burden of cataloguing my extensive DVD Collection, searching, documenting movie info, cutting and pasting covers, etc. Now it has been done within minutes and adding more titles is just a breeze. It's so complete with all information DVD covers and trailers, using the IMDB database, plus it's unbelievably solid and smooth in its operation entirety. It's neigh on impossible to find anything to dislike about it, I certainly can't. Only one thing I will say, something I personally would add, and that would be 'Coverflow'. I've always liked viewing my Movies or CD collections this way in the old iTunes and would love to do that again within this app. But that would be a bonus and not failure of the App. As I have said previously, the CLZ Movie Collection App is almost faultless. I'm a disabled film collector with a very poor memory. I have tried many ways of listing my collection without success. This App is just fantastic for me as you can scan dvd and Blu-ray titles in via the barcode, search on IMdB and upload your own photos. I’ve has this database for a few years; when I decided to ditch all my DVD cases and store the discs in those nice neat, space-saving little aluminium boxes with the hanging files, I realised I needed more than a list scribbled in the lid. And CLZ Movies supplied the perfect way to do this. I love the updates (the new “actor” folder is just great), I love the engagement - the developers never seem to stop looking for ways to improve the app and yes, sometimes some films (looking at you, compilations -grrr) require a bit of additional input... But I can now find any film (or tv box set) I’m looking for in my ‘files’ whenever I want, and - even without the cases, still have all the info I need to hand.

I have a large DVD movie collection and always wondered about a database easily accessible to me, especially god for bid I ever had a fire and lost all my collection. How would I know what movies I had to begin with? I saw this app in the App Store and gave it a shot. WOW! I've been using CLZ products for Windows, Mac, and mobile for more years than I can remember, probably 20 or more. My DVD / BluRay collection has grown to 1000+ items. CLZ apps are extremely well designed and continually maintained and updated in sync with ever changing devices and operating systems. The features are abundant and interfaces intuitive.
In the rare case you experience problems, customer support is fast and friendly. It's rare to find this kind of quality, even more so at such a reasonable price. I'm remiss for waiting so long to write this review.

I have looked at and tried a number of Movie database apps but none beats this one. It has its faults, nothing is infallible, but there is far more good than bad. I've been using various Collectorz products for more than 15 year. First the Desktop software, then the web version and now the android app. I have more than 5,400 movies and television shows on DVD and Blu-ray. I have used CLZ Movies (as well as a couple other of their apps), for a couple of years now. I find the Movie app very helpful to keep track of movies and TV shows that I own (both digitally and on DVD/Bluray), as well as Movies and TV series that I stream.
The developers are very receptive to suggestions and have made many improvements since my original purchase.
The database is fairly complete, although there is an occasional item missing. I find the developers very receptive to email and always get a reply within a day or two. I come from a family of cinema-philes. With four people in the house, all collecting movies from to suit four different tastes, it can be difficult to keep track of what we have and what we don't. I began collecting blu-rays when everybody else did I guess....when the PS4 first came out in 2006. I had a modest collection of DVD's at the time, but to me, blu-rays were the ultimate in quality picture & sound. Within the next 3 years I owned over 300 discs. Then the worst happened, I got divorced and lost half of some of my favorite titles.
By 2011, I had a girlfriend, another home and began to renew my collecting of BD titles. By 2014 I had over 1000 bd discs, and had replaced most of my DVD collection with updated BD discs. It seemed daily I was getting a delivery from Amazon or Walmart of multiple discs, Christmas was nearly a daily occurrence for me. Well, I may have a superior memory but it became impossible to remember a thousand titles and where they were located.
I began to search for the BEST archival software to arrange my collection. I actually started with a competitor (MM) but their SW required Windows Server, and many of their "updates" either removed or had glitches to features I really enjoyed. If something happened and you had to re-load your database through their server, the larger the collection, the slower the process. When I switched to Windows 10, they had an update that required to re-load the database again from their server....which was NEVER up-to-date. As a result I lost a lot of titles and work to personalize for me.
I began to search elsewhere not only for a functional archival SW similar to what I was using before, but one that DIDN'T require additional software downloads and updates similar to Windows Server. When I discovered Collectorz.com and the Movie Collector software, I found the perfect replacement. Not only are there many customizable options that are both user friendly and user intuitive, but I can actually SHARE my collection with family members. So when they ask, "Hey, can I borrow XXXXXXX to watch over the weekend, I know right where to find it!"
Now recently, I switched to the web-based Movie Connect browser format as opposed to having to download and update software versions. Its a lot like the Movie Collector software with less options....but I'm sure these will be added in the weeks to come.
Now I really haven't had to use support for too many issues, maybe 1 or 2 in the past year and a half I've been using the service. But all the contacts I've had have been quick and timely answers. I'll tell you...it has been a long and tiring road trying to organize my video collection! Back when I had 1,275 videos (including VHS, DVD and Blu-ray), I had them all barcoded with labels I would manually create out of Microsoft Word and have them listed in an Excel then Access database. But it was never the same, as everything had to be entered in manually - which royally sucks. The time I spent on adding them, I never got around to entering in main actors, year, directors or even year....it was a clusterschmuck!
Then I found Collectorz.com and I was in pure Heaven! I love how I can have all of the information that's listed in the CLZ cloud/library in my database - now I have well over 2,985 videos (DVD's and Blu-ray's only) and I cherish the software and the company who makes it!
