February 02, 2012Nach Jahrzehnten der Suche nach einem richtig guten Comic-Verwaltungsprogramm bin ich vor ca. 6 Jahren bei der PC-Version des Comic Collector hängen geblieben. Seitdem wird die Software stetig weiter entwickelt und ich bin sehr zufrieden.
Doch wäre es nicht cool, auf eine Comic-Börse zu gehen, sein iPad auszupacken und seine Sammlungen direkt einsehen zu können? Ich habe schon mehrfach aus Versehen Doppel eingekauft, weil ich mir nicht sicher war, ob ich das oder jenes Heft schon habe oder nicht. Die Zeiten sind nun mit dieser Software vorbei.
Nun habe ich einen Viewer meiner Sammlung, die ich unproblematisch vom PC via Wifi in ca. 15 Minuten (immerhin 4647 Stück) inkl. Coverbildern und zusätzlichen Informationen zu allen einzelnen Heften auf mein iPad 1 übertragen habe.

I have always dreamed about creating a list of my extensive book collection (5,000 +), by inputting the ISBNs. However, all the products out there are ridiculously expensive or are not really Mac OSX compatible.
I love the fact that I can use my iPhone as the scanner and keep a list of my library in an accessible format. This is something I've been waiting since I started graduate school.

December 24, 2011I was looking for some software that would help me to take my library and get it under control. A fellow Pastor told me that he used Book Collector on his PC and thought it amazing.
I purchased a copy on that recommendation and started to use it. I have to admit that at first it was confusing and a bit overwhelming and the instructions were not the best.
BUT, this product is fantastic. It does everything I wanted. It takes the ISBN number and looks up the book in the CLZ Book Database, it then downloads copy of the cover and all of the pertinent information as well as a summary of the book to your database.
You then input your library information as well as your own notes, annotations, plots, characters, key words, etc. It also asks you for the information of your purchase date, price, where you bought it, etc.
I also allows you to choose categories (and add your own) so that future searches can be done quickly and easily.
It also has a lending tool. You can loan a book to someone and mark that book as "lent out" and it will track the date you loaned it, to whom, where it is and if you want, remind you to seek the return of it after a period of time. Now I won't wonder what I did with a book.
It also allows you to track in your own library where you have the book, in other words, at home, in the office, at school, etc. So, if you take it elsewhere you can mark that and when you look for the book you at least know where you last took it.
BUT THE BEST FEATURE is the scanner tool that you can download for your iPhone or iPod touch. The CLZ Buddy scanner turns your iPhone into a scanner that will pick up the ISBN bar code off your books and automatically fill it into the add feature of the software on your computer. It will allow you to add multiple ISBN's to the que before you search the database. Then you touch "search" and it finds all the info and displays it. You then touch "Add" and all the books are added to your software. It is amazingly simple.
Finally, if you want you can get the mobile app for your iPad or iPhone or iPod touch and download your library database from your computer (via WiFi) to your other device. So, if you are at a meeting and want to reference one of your books, just look it up. If someone asks if you have a book, check whether you do. Or if you are out at Barnes and Noble and see a book but can't remember (happens to all of us) if you already own it, just pull out your iPhone or iPad and check to see if you already own it. No more double purchases.
Well, enough said. This software is amazing. I don't know how I ever got along without it.

December 11, 2011This is an app that really works and does what it is supposed to do. You can track your movies and view them in any manner you want. Search for any information you would like. When guests are over and want to watch a movie, just hand them your phone run the app and let them choose, much easier than standing in front of a wall full of movies and trying to pick one out.
When you go shopping and you have over a thousand titles your not going to buy a duplicate title with this app in your pocket. This is one part of a complete set of options you have with these guys. Check out all of their apps and you won't be sorry.

December 06, 2011I shopped around before buying this program, and I'm pleased to report that it does what it says it does: it's an easy-to-use tool for cataloging your comics.
For the most part, it does a super job with superheroes (pun intended) and mainstream books. I've had to manually enter some of my more unusual comics (and a lot of my Archies/Gold Keys, etc.), but nobody can be expected to have everything. And the customer service is VERY good through their forums.

November 21, 2011To make a long story short, I am up and running and love the setup so I have purchased a year contract (note: George refers to Movie Collector Connect). That should give me time to get my network up and running such that I can let my local and long distance family see my collection of movies.
My main reason for setting this up online now is for my two grandchildren who are living with me and are avid movie watchers. My young grandson is just on the edge of reading so he can now read the descriptions of movies and know what he really wants to watch. For the past 3 years, I have had to tell him what each movie was all about - drove me crazy because he loves so many different movies. Have to love him and now he is so proud that he can read most of the words and his vocabulary is growing daily.
Thanks again for your help - sorry I am so long-winded in saying thanks, but your product has been a big help in my "Love for Movies" life.

November 21, 2011I and my wife are avid movie and TV collectors. We have over 1,700 original movies and TV shows in our collection. As you can imagine we have trouble keeping up with what we have already bought and have spent a ton of money on stuff we already have.
Since buying the main program and this app we haven't done that since. It has saved us so much money that I think that this is one of the best purchases we have made in a long time. The app is easy to use and easy to instal.
I highly recommend it to anyone that has a collection that they love.

The interface is very user friendly, there are a lot of sorting and viewing possibilities and all in all a worth buy product.
I am using it now for a week, and i really enjoy it. Very helpfull.

November 04, 2011If you have a LARGE video collection, it is very hard to manage and money was inevitably wasted on buying duplicate copies of movies you already own.
Being able to access my movie list has been most enjoyable; in fact my whole family has a renewed interest and enjoyment since everyone can be reacquainted with lost loves, or at the very least infatuations.
The PC program offers great information, including episode descriptions for TV shows, while the iPad/iPod/iPhone version gives limited but more than enough information to make selections and purchasing choices.

November 04, 2011The portable companion to the Collectorz desktop application is gorgeous looking on the iPad, taking full advantage of the screen real estate an allowing a decent amount of alternative arrangement options for viewing your collection.
I'd like it to be a 2-way app (so you could add data to the iPad app and synch it back to your desktop one) but I can understand that this would add a significant extra layer of complexity to the development. A girl can dream though.
In the interim I am very happy with this app, it's made my desktop version far more useful and given me one more solid reason to justify owning the iPad :)

Worth every penny!
I use it at comic cons, comic stores, flea markets, online shopping to check which issues I am missing, and to see the cover image of the individual variants I already own. Keeps duplication to a minimum and allows me to see what I am missing at a quick glance.
I currently have around 8,000 issues loaded into this app with another 8,000 - 9,000 to go. Handles them with ease on the phone.

Last week my hard drive failed and I had to re-load all my programs. Unfortuneatly my license keys were in my email folders that were on the hard drive that failed. I had my movie collector CD with the my name and Key on the inside cover. That was great. My problem was my upgrade to collector 8 Key was lost.
I visited your website and saw that I could just enter my email address and my Keys would be emailed to me. The email arrived less than 5 minutes later!!

September 25, 2011I did it almost twice now: I bought a book that I already have! So I have been searching for a program where I could scan the ISBN bar codes of all my books and let those go into a database. Well, I found the perfect program: Book Collector from Collectorz.com.
I bought the small laser scanner with it and started scanning the first shelf.
This is so much fun. Although the program doesn't find all my books (some of my quilt books are really old and not in print anymore and some front covers are missing), it is still worthwhile to get it all organized.
There's still a lot to be scanned, but once that is done, I can take the database with me and prevent that I buy the same book twice :)

I've had Comic Collector since version 2 (it's now at 5) and only had minor issues that were ALL fixed. I live in Canada and the software guys in Europe and there has never been anything but a minimal delay in responses and that's reasonable to expect given the time differences.

I love my database being on the web so I can bring it up any time and anywhere. I have about 600 DVDs and Blu-rays at home, and your Software gave me the ability to place them in a large binder and stored all the covers instead of running out of space filling the cabinets.
I also use your software as a table of contents to my DVD collection now and I don't have to worry about buying Blu-Rays of movies I already owned on DVD. Did that Twice.

September 07, 2011I've been using Comic Collector for YEARS, long before the iPad, and it is still the best on the market. Regular updates, flawless interface, reliable performance. You can't go wrong, even with tens of thousands of comics properly cataloged.
It has been well worth it as I travel and stumble across those hard to find 'hole fillers' in my collection. Amazing online database to save all the manual entry, easy to work with, it's simply the best software of it's kind.
The iPad and iTouch apps are both awesome passive catalogs to have a travel list of your collection on hand at all times. Searchable, quick, and the 'Wish list' feature makes it uber-easy to find the books you are looking for.
Can't recommend it enough. I also use the Book Collector product, and have even given it to friends and family as a gift - it's THAT good!

August 28, 2011I just bought this program a couple of days ago and started using it officially last night. I've already discovered a way to make entering records with no barcode a little easier. Instead of using the manual enter function, use the automatic enter function and put in the title and artist then hit search. You still need to go in and change some fields like "format" and enter the personal data manually, but the rest is done for you provided it is found.
This program is fabulous!!!! It does everything I need and then some! I have not purchased a peice of software this good in years! I loaded it in Windows 7 and XP and it loaded and runs flawlessly. It's real easy to use as well, its mostly quite intutitive really. Just an occasional referal to the manual if your trying to do something a bit weird or what have you is all that's required. Again, fabulous program!!

I hope this tool will help me organize my books as well as I think it will. It's easy to navigate (important for me!), it's a good memory support tool (no more lists of where I put stuff) and it had a trial (kick the tires).
I seriously love this and am going to recommend it to me Doc at the VA mental health clinic. It really is great.

August 14, 2011Collectorz gives you a great way to take your music catalog on the road. You enter the details on your PC/Mac and then sync it to CLZ Music HD.
It makes good use of the iPad screen real estate and the covers look gorgeous on the screen :-)
Entry on the PC/Mac is very fast. Collectorz will scan a CD, read a bar code, or find an album by name. Once it's done that it pulls all the details from the Collectorz servers via the Internet. You just check the details and press "OK".

August 10, 2011I've been using Collectorz software for years now. It just keeps getting better and better. Being able to take your collection with you on the iPad (and the iPhone) is just perfect. The app itself is very responsive and the images for the covers flow very nicely.
You can't enter data directly into this app, that needs to be done using the desktop version and then you sync it. Entering movies into the desktop version is a walk in the park if you use a barcode reader.
I did 500+ movies in an afternoon.

July 15, 2011It truly does just keep getting better. And I have never come across any software backers that support the product like these guys do. If you have a problem or question you can't find the answer to in the FAQ or manual, in far less than a day, your answer will be in your mailbox.
Unbelievable.
I love the automated finding of trailers. While there were many independent and foreign films in my collection I had to search out youtube for trailers, it found workable ones for nearly all. Having a trailer embedded, using trailer setting under view is really great.
Sorry for the commercial but I am quite happy with it.

July 12, 2011it took only a few minutes after downloading Vee 8 to find myself blown away.
The base line conversion of my existing data base was seamless but to get the new data uploaded i have to highlight a small portion of my collection and hit auto update. if i try the whole collect (8,000 discs) it stalls. except for that minor, one time inconvenience this update had actually succeed in placing the bar so far above anything out there they might as look for another project to work on.
The episodes guide it fantastic especially since i own a lot of complete series sets and it makes picking one to watch a breeze. thank you to the whole team for such a commitment to excellence.

Now to check some prices and get worried my insurance isnt enough....
As I took so long, I have had a good view over the development of music collector and I must say, over time the software has got easier to use. I have never regretted purchasing the pro version.

There were not many options for Mac, and the one that looked the most promising, was much to expensive. There was Comic Collector from Collectorz, but it was only available for Windows. When Collectorz first announced they were working on a Mac version about a year ago, I was very excited.
Finally last week, they released version 1 for Mac. After a few hiccups with build 1 and 2, build 3 has finally got things working and I have started adding my collection into my database. From what I have seen so far, it is well worth the $30 I paid! Once I have added most of my comics to my database, and had some time to play with it more, I will probably be paying the extra for the Pro edition and also getting the iPhone edition so I can take my collection with me.

The kids are going to help me scan books intomorrow on the last day of school! WOW! This is so reasonable in price and will be so much fun. I think the kids can even scan books for check out (I have to keep reading my instructions, LOL!).

After 2 months she brought the cute scanner to me and i'm using the scanner along with my Comic Collector for the 1st time.

April 12, 2011I just wanted to say thanks for your great products. I bought my first copy of Movie Collector back in 2009 to organise my DVD collection and found it great. It now happily keeps track of the 1006 (and growing) titles my wife and I have, and lets me find them from the comfort of the lounge via the Media Center interface.
I have since added Music Collector to track the 1256 CD albums, singles and MP3 albums we have amassed, and today I just bought Book Collector to get the mountains of books in order. I'm not looking forward to the cataloging job ahead, but I am looking forward to having an ordered collection when I'm finished.
You software just works. No dramas. Plus, it's easy to use. Keep up the good work guys.

March 31, 2011Before retiring I was involved in the development and distribution of several database applications internal to the company for which I worked. I want to congratulate the development team for producing this fine product.
I reviewed several other products online before purchasing this one and I am convinced I made the right choice. Ease of use and flexibility are two of its strongest points. The user can accept the default field values and definitions or customize for personal use.
As delivered, it is oriented toward a collection of fiction but it can be easily customized to include nonfiction or to configure for nonfiction only. The inclusion of the Library of Congress and Dewey decimal fields are particularly valuable in a nonfiction collection.
Data entry is easy. The user can key in field values manually or key in only the ISBN number and have the program automatically search for the remaining fields including a picture of the book cover.
I have had only one question and got a prompt response by e-mail but the product is so intuitive that I solved my problem before getting an answer from customer support.
All in all an excellent product with a fair price.

March 22, 2011I have been a movie collector for nearly 25 years. It was very difficult to maintain my large collection of DVD's and Bluray disks. I was using Excel to do the job, but it just wasn't working for me. I found the Collectorz web site and used the trial software for a day or two and I was hooked. I purchased the Pro Edition and have never looked back. I was able to scan all of DVD's and Bluray's within hours using my Honeywell barcode scanner. I am impressed. The software is unbelievable. The service is great and so are the owners!!!

In less than 3 hours of work I had all my 200 DVD's cataloged. My older program which did not support the scanner feature has been scrapped, and this is now my choice for doing this. I am anxiously awaiting your Comic Collector for MAC and will purchase it as soon as it comes out.

February 18, 2011I've spent the last hour or so adding comics to version 5, both manually and automatically and I've gotta say I'm REALLY loving the new version.
The new layout for the Add Comic window seems to flow a lot more smoothly IMO, with the new order of various fields in more logical places.
The new Vee Five templates are great, I really appreciate their clearer, cleaner appearance. As for Add Comics Automatically, the tree list makes things a lot easier to find the issues I'm after.
This is by far the best version of Comic Collector so far.

February 02, 2011First off, I just want to say that I recently came back from the first ever Comic-Con in New Orleans, and you're iphone app helped me AMAZINGLY!
I was able to quickly pull up the list of my comics while browsing through stacks of comics and was able to find issues I didn't have without worrying about getting extra copies. Meanwhile, I laughed
as other people were writing down issues on paper and trying to figure out what they had and didn't have. I even told people about this site and how easy it is to use and your iphone app.
Keep up the great work though guys and gals. Really love your stuff and look to be upgrading my

I have only been using it for a couple of weeks and my main PC died so I installed the programme on my laptop. At first it wouldn't run but then I found your FAQ page and the explanation of the bkclck file and hey presto it works.
How very civilised that you appreciate that people genuinely do want and need to use your software on different machines with no malicious reasons.

December 22, 2010First let me say that I have over 2,000 books and almost 1,000 DVD's and as you can imagine it is extremely hard to keep track of everything. I was constantly buying seconds and even thirds of books and movies. I had tried my best to keep track of them by writing everything down, but inadvertently would miss some or not have the list with me when I purchased new items. Very frustrating and expensive.
I heard about your product for books on television and decided it would be worth a try to at least organize and store the information on my computer, so I purchased the Book Collector software and a CueCat scanner. I got to work and after four days had my complete library of books organized and on my computer.
I was truly surprized by how many extra copies I had (all that money wasted that could have been spent on books I didn't have). I was so impressed that I purchased the Movie Collector and in two days had all of my DVD's organized and on my computer.
I love the fact that on both programs there is the loan section so that when my family borrows movies or books I know who has them and can get them back. (And now they know its on my computer so they know I'm keeping up with it hahahaha).
I recently got the Book Collector update and can I tell you I LOVE IT. It was Wonderful!!!!! I was able to get book covers that had not been available before without having to scan the covers myself. Also I have about 300 E-Books that I wasn't able to show covers for that now I can. GREAT.
I also love the fact that I can link my E-Books to my Book Collector so that I can read them from the site if I choose. This was really helpful when my Nook crashed about a month ago and I was out of town working.
I also love the fact that it is easier to pull up individual authors and see their books even the
anthologies where they might be second, third, or sixth author. Thank You So Much....
I just purchased the iPhone App for book collector and exported my books to my iPhone and it is a great tool. Already I have had friends asking me about books I have and I don't have to say that I'll check when I get home.
Again Thanks For The Wonderful Software, I can't wait to see what comes next.

I got my 500+ DVD collection entered in about 2 hours and the portion of my book collection that had bar codes entered in about an hour.
Best money I ever spent.
I was able to scan everything without having to bring each item back to my desk. I highly recommend it to anyone with a large collection.

December 06, 2010I wanted to let you know how happy I am to finally see the scan and add feature. I have been a customer since version 5 and had used your software nearly everyday until one of my sticks of RAM decided to corrupt my movie collector database. I had stopped using your software for a few months as at the time I had roughly 650 digital copies of my movies and I really did not want to manually add them all again.
Now I have over 700 and decided to check out what you have done with the software. To my surprise, version 7 introduced the scan and add feature, this feature has saved me countless hours of adding movies to my database. I added all 713 movies in a matter of a couple hours rather than days or weeks. The thing that took me the longest this time was just making sure the search grabbed the correct movie and even that was quick and painless.
Another thing I would like to add is being a previous customer, this is the first time I purchased the pro version and I can say that I will not be going back to the standard version as the integration with Windows Media Center is beautiful. I use a Media PC on my home theater system and have actually never used Windows Media Center, though now that I have seen first hand how well it can work when there is data for each movie I will now be using it on a regular basis.
Thank you so much for adding the scan and add feature, I can open up movie collector again and have all the movie covers and details and now I don't have to scroll through a boring folder with all my movie files. My friends also appreciate that there are details for each movie again, it is quite hard to pick something to watch when you just have a folder filled with over 700 movies and no details on them.

December 02, 2010I went on a shopping frenzy this year. I've found MANY incredible sales on DVDs (mostly used) and I actually bought almost 2000 DVDs this year. It's not uncommon to buy 10 to 20 discs in one day.
At one sale (two stores going out of business) I bought 130 DVDs in one day! (At $1 a piece!) There's no way I could have managed so many new arrivals in such short order without your program. It's been invaluable to my collecting.
I tell everyone it was obviously designed by people who understand collecting because it has every piece of information a collector would want to know or enter.
I may be your biggest fan. And on top of that, all this wonderful, personal service from you. (I even tried to encourage one of my retailers to carry your software. But he felt it would be just as easy, and cheaper, for his customers to buy direct from you. -- But they need to know about it first.)
Your ipod application I tell people is my favorite application on the planet! It is essential for me to take whereever I shop to see if I already have a title.
I also bought your Music Collector. One of these days I'll tackle THAT other extensive collection of mine. As slow as work as been (I'm a freelance video editor - produced a lot of bonus features for Disney DVDs, in fact) you'd think I'd have the time. But I guess my "spare time" this year has been spent shopping!
I had to buy a new video projector a year ago. I went overboard and bought a very high-end machine (SIM 2). DVDs now look so great, the projector just sits up on the ceiling, and like Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors, says, "Feed me. FEED ME!"

November 19, 2010I just wanted to thank you folks! I have 1,300 movies, 500 + books, well over 5,000 comics, all being tracked with your awesome software on my PC, collectorz.com, and Android (except for books).
My PC's hard drive was going flooey and I had to replace it. Can I tell you how EASY it was to reinstall everything (I had my data ported AND I could have easily used backups or downloaded from online). All the hours I spent entering the info was well and safe and made my re-install painless (ok I had everything backed up but still it was one less worry)!!!

November 08, 2010We have been using this program for about 6 years now. I just need to upgrade mine to the newer version. But…I can’t say enough good about it.
We actually broke down and for Christmas bought the “Books” scanner. Oh my goodness!!! I have the older version but it was awesome just picking up the book and scanning the barcode. LOL! I would then attach the scanner to my computer and download. I did only work on 2 shelves at a time in case we missed something it was easier to go back to the shelf and narrow it to the book.
We also have the movie collectorz and I have the photo program. Between the books my husband and both brought into our marriage and then starting homeschooling? I hear you…we have ummm…close to 6,000 books. We are actually working on turning the kids toy room into a library and using it as such for our little homeschool group.This has been great for tracking all of my homeschool curriculum!
I didn’t realize we had as many movies as we did until we started scanning. We still had walls of VHS when got the Collectorz program….We ended up 2000 videos/dvds. We have since gotten rid of alot of those…=)
This program is great. I have no connection to the company accept as a purchaser and someone who has used it and swears by it! I am a photographer on the side and love the photo program.
Yes…when a friend wants to “Borrow” a book…you can log it in. I sent a friend of mine (as a joke) a reminder that her books were coming due…LOL. I don’t worry about loaning a book out anymore and forgetting who I loaned it too. My friends all understand and agree…so they sign the card.
Anyway…I love it and it is well worth the money.

We started off with just Comic Collector, hoping to make sense of our already large and rapidly increasing collection of comics. However, soon we were hooked and added Movie, Book, and Game Collector software to our purchases.
The software is so simple to use that we could start cataloguing in minutes, but powerful enough to allow my pedantic side free reign.
The CueCat scanner has certainly helped to speed up the process of adding our substantial game, movie, and book collections to our catalogues. The process of adding to our various collections is so fast and easy that we don't fall behind in adding new additions to our lists, like we had found in the past when we were using long tables in Word and Access to try to keep everything in order.

August 20, 2010I have only had the software for a couple of weeks, but am up to 1315 books, with two bookcases of 6 shelves each still to go. Not counting a handful in storage. Most are hardcover non-fiction - history, science, philosophy, photography.
While scanning I discovered a bunch of books I haven't read (very excited about that - new books and no cash output!) and maybe a dozen of duplicates. I love that this is in my iphone so I can buy new books without worrying about duplicate buying (nast trick of publishers to change the covers and suck me into a purchase ~LL). My friends who often get my dups are a bit unhappy that I have found a way to avoid that problem, but I am excited about the sense of order.
Now I have to sort/organize all my books so I can actually find something. I have a bunch of vacation days to take so I may dedicate a couple of days to that project.
Thank you Collectorz for such a great product! I also have the Movie Collector (thanks to the special prices you offered recently!) and also found dups! But I feel better about buying a movie without fear of wasting money on a duplicate purchase. I am spreading the news about your products to everyone who will listen.

August 13, 2010I found your site when I was surfing the web trying to find a good template or sample database to use to catalog my books. Yours sounded so much better than anything I had found I had to download and try the trial version.
After only using it for about 30 minutes I knew this was the one for me and purchased the Pro version.
In only three days (about 2 1/2 hours each) I have already put about a third of my collection (250+) in. Have had only a handful not found in the automatic search and I found those by using author/title search.
I love the ease of use!
I was losing control of knowing what I had and purchasing duplicates but no more. I love the fact I can put them all in so I have control back and then go back and add more detail if I want as time permits.
Rest assured your software will be the first I recommend to anybody I know that is looking for something to handle a collection.

First let me say I have been searching for sometime now for a better way to ensure that I don't repurchase DVD's I already own. I have a collection of DVD's and Bluerays of well over 2000 titles so remembering them is getting hard! I found this program while searching for a video store system thinking that was the only way I would be able to keep track of what titles I have and who I have loaned them to friend wise.
The software is a amazing, it's easy to use and simple to follow. I am amazed at how very little time it takes for a newbie to pick it up and run with creating a list. I now have all my movies listed and with the added iPhone app CLZ Movies, I can now ensure that I take my collection list everywhere I go!

I'm a huge reader and I had been looking for something to categorize and keep up with my collection
and I stumbled across this one day and I'm happy I did. I did get the app also!
I have an iPhone so this was the best thing to take with me when I'm out shopping for books.
I told one of my colleagues at work about this collection because he has a ton of movies and he purchased the Collectorz Movies and he loves it.

I have moved house and it was absolutely essential to tick everything back to the database from hundreds of boxes to ensure I had everything.
Especially as I have 55,463 old time radio programs on about 50 disks on the MP3 program, 1,327 classical music CDs, 1,067 Books and 183 DVDs on your other programs.

You have always been fair in the way you charge for software (I have 5 of your products on my computer, and 4 on my iTouch). It's extraordinarily powerful, customizable, and easy to use.
As a DBA I've worked with many relational databases and Comic Collector represents the very best of what a well-designed database can achieve. It is both elegant and flexible.
The online repository of comics is very comprehensible - I've found entries for every one of the 1000+ comics I've inputted thus far.
I especially like the HTML export feature - I'm able to generate web interfaces for any dataset and, if appropriate, link entries to digital comic files. For example, I can create a website for my daughter, which she can use to easily select and read her favorite comics.
Your product has greatly increased my enjoyment of a hobby that I was already very passionate about. In short, Comic Collector rocks!

I have over 8,000 comics/ trades/ hardcovers in my collection and it's the best way, hands down, for cataloguing a collection of that size.
I used to use a word document that I had to painstakingly update every week. With Comic Collector the inputting is so easy, and fun to do. The export to i-pod touch is just the icing on the cake.

February 24, 2010I want to tell you that MOVIE COLLECTOR IS FANTASTIC!! It is far away and above any of the competitor products! They cannot compare to you. Believe me, I know. Over the last year or so, I have tried every solution that I could find for storing my DVD library and sharing that information with my iPhone, and none of them worked worth a damn.
Using UPC codes is critical, in my opinion, since that gives you the exact results for the DVD that you own, and Movie Collector is the ONLY app that I've tested that works easily and completely with imported UPC codes. A Title search gives you only the basic info, not specific to your DVD, unless you want to comb through the dozens and dozens of Title results to find the correct one. (By the way, the Symbol scanner that I have on my system works perfectly with your software.)
When your revised Clz Movies app became available, I finally went ahead and tried Movie Collector. OMG!! What a beautifully designed piece of software, both on the desktop and for the iPhone.
Then, when I exported my Movie Collector db to the iPhone, it worked perfectly the FIRST TIME, and the resulting database on the iPhone is a complete pleasure to use. All very well designed and seamless between desktop and iPhone. As I have done a lot of programming myself, I really appreciate your fine work.

I have about 2500 movies. It didn't take me very long to log all of them. All of the features of how I can look up movies in my collection is amazing. I've needed something like this for a long time. This was a super investment.
I'm just beside myself I'm so happy with it. My brother recommended the movie collector to me and I'm so glad that he did. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. :) The last time I was this impressed and excited about something I could use was when they created Amazon!

I have currently approx 1,250 movies in my collection (with more to add) and having access to the collection via the Clz iPhone app is fantastic!
As a workaround I had been printing my Collection to a pdf list and then loading that on my iPhone via a "files" app, but having the Clz app is the only way to go, it's a must have for any collector!!
On the strength of you comp upgrade I have also just purchased Music Collector Pro. It will be my next project after I get my Movie Collection fully up to-date.

November 17, 2009In the past I had to spend three to four hours on the net trying to get all the info for our Music Watchdog (SAMRO). To do that I had to drive to the radio station to get hold of broadband. Down at the farm I get along with GPRS but it is so slow.
MP3 Collector is exactly what I was looking for. What took so long to accomplish in the past takes me exactly two minutes! I pinch myself from time to time because I find it hard that people like you and your team exist in this old world.
MP3 Collector is the best. I've just finished with Saturdays playlist, 100 songs and it took me exactly 1 min 39 sec. That is great!

I have been waiting for this idea for over 3 years. I have over 600 movies and I often share them
with my co-workers. I was tired of writing down the movie titles and trying my best to remember my new purchases along with some older purchases. I kept telling my co-workers that one day I would create an MS Access database and list all my movies. That was two years ago and at that time it was still incomplete.
Finally a dream came true.

August 06, 2009I am yet another of your many very satisfied customers. I use Music, MP3, and Book Collector -- but Music Collector is the one I use daily.
Apart from the sheer professionalism of the program's design, I find the User Defined fields really useful. I have nearly 700 CDs, and I like to listen to each of them within a reasonable period.
(Otherwise, why keep them?)
To help me with this, I have renamed Album Text1 to "Last played", and Album Text2 to "Times played". Each time I play an album I record the date (e.g. 20090806) and increase "Times played" by one. That way, I can tell which CDs haven't been listened to for a long time by sorting them on the "Last played" column in Album View, and I can tell which ones I have played only once or twice since getting them with the filter "Times Played less than 3".
My family think I'm obsessive. Maybe I am. But it helps me to enjoy my collection!

June 19, 2009I've never wanted to write to a company thanking them for their product before (although I've been known to write a complaint or two!), but I'm so impressed with BOOK COLLECTOR that I had to do it!
Before discovering this program, I'd been toying with the idea of creating an Access database for my 1,200+ library of books, but I couldn't keep it simple enough to actually get started. I wanted
cross-references, AND lots of categories and sub-categories, AND a method for keeping track of each book's location, AND a way to record my own synopses and notes, AND. . .well, I wanted it all.
The whole thing just seemed too much like work, so I gave up and did a google search for book inventories, and (gasp!) there you were!
I browsed through the many screenshots, read the FAQ's and testimonials, and I couldn't believe it!
It was as if you'd been reading my mind!
What impressed me even more was the fact that I used the support link to email a question about the program, and I got a super-fast response. I wasn't even a customer yet, but you took the time to answer me right away. That's an awfully good indication of the kind of support I'd enjoy once I actually purchased BOOK COLLECTOR.
So that's what I did, and now I'm hooked for life!
Not only is BOOK COLLECTOR exactly what I wanted (and then some), but it's fast, reliable, easy to use and (WOW!) stable. Ordinarily, I tend to lose interest in the repetitive process of entering information, but this program is actually fun to use!
In fact, I keep discovering more great features - like the ability to enter the websites for authors, publishers and so forth, and have an active, underlined hyperlink with each of their books. This is something I never would've thought to include in the database I was trying to plan! And that's
just the most RECENT feature I've gotten excited about!
I'm over a quarter of the way through entering my books in BOOK COLLECTOR now, and even though my collections of DVD's and music CD's aren't nearly as large as my library of books, you can count on the fact that I'll be buying MUSIC COLLECTOR and MOVIE COLLECTOR in the
near future.
Also, I have a large collection of stones and crystals, and while browsing your FAQ's, I got the idea to try out PHOTO COLLECTOR for keeping track of them. So, that another one of your apps I'll be needing! I simply cannot get over the versatility of these amazing programs! They're worth every penny!

I have thousands of movies, TV shows, and documentaries.
Before it would take me hours to find something that my wife and I could agree on. Now I just make an HTML page with your export options and keep it updated on her computer as well and we can review everything from the laptop right there on the couch without having to rifle through drawers and reams of CD holders or cases to find just what we are looking for.
The folders option that allows you to see each genre makes life so much easier.

So I bought the Standard Version then after realizing that friends borrow my DVD's I upgraded to the PRO.

If the new version looks anything like the other items I have [Movie, Book and Music] I can hardly wait!!
