When I enter a book, either automatically or manually, with two authors the program alphabetizes by the author with the last name beginning with the earlier letter of the alphabet. From example, a book has two authors, Tim LaHaye and Ben Jenkins. LaHaye is the first author listed in the CIP data. LaHaye is the top name in the author field. But when the collection is sorted by author, this book sorts by Jenkins as "J" comes before "L".
I realize that I could relegate "Jenkins" to Secondary Author but then his name does not show prominently in the Details View window. If I use the Secondary Author for Jenkins then his name does not appear in the "spreadsheet" view of the book either unless I use a Secondary Author column.
Is there any way to have both authors appear on the Main screen but alphabetize by the "top" author? If not, I would like to suggest that this be considered in a future release.
Just to be clear, this is not a book by an author "With" another. It is truly a joint authorship and thus both authors should get prominence. While Jenkins, in this example, is a primary author almost no one would look for the book under his name.
Thanks for great apps!!! Ed
