I raised this "issue" before but it has reoccured. I use the quotes as it is not necessarily a problem but I would like to understand it.

I have the Mac version 3.3 Build 1. I have the iPhone G3 running version 3 of the software. I am running version 1.1 of the iPhone Clz Books app. When I export from the Mac to the iPhone, I am presented with the export screen as expected. However, my only "choice" is to "Replace" all of the books on the iPhone. When I click "Export" the two devices work just fine and the Mac ends all of the books to the iPhone.

The next time I export, I do get the "Update" option. However, when I next go to Export, I get the "Replace" option only. I can find no rhyme nor reason why sometimes I am only able to export all of the books and at other times I am able to update only the changed books.

I do use many different wi-fi networks. I am not sure but it seems that when I use a different wi-fi network I get the Replace only option. The next time I export using the same wi-fi connection I get the Update option. I am not sure if it is every time or not.

Again, I am not sure it is a problem as I am not losing any data. It just takes longer and of course, I worry that I will lose some data.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed

Probably this is because Book Collector remembers the name of your device which was synced last. If that one matches with the current one, you have the option to Update your collection, else you have to Replace it. Sometimes the device name has a (2) as suffix which causes the mismatch. This is fixed in the next version. ETA: Tuesday November 10.

I will standby for the update next Tuesday and let you know if it is still an issue.

Thanks.
