I like the fact that you can go full screen with any of the covers from the detailed page, but I think that you should have that option in coverflow as well as in the detailed page. That way if you are looking through the list of covers, you can single click the thumbnail of the cover to get the details screen (with the cover in the top left corner), or from coverflow, double click to go right to full screen view of the cover. Double click again puts you back into coverflow. If you want the detailed page instead of returning to coverflow, tap the title, in the top left of the coverview. While in full page mode, if you slide the picture left or right, you would see the back cover full screen, (if one is available), and slide the other way, you would return to the front cover.

The one complaint I have regarding the coverflow screen, is the length of time it takes to load and how tacky it looks when you are showing someone this great program and it shows all these white icons that haven't loaded. I understand that once a section is loaded, it stays loaded as long as the app is open, but I would prefer it if the coverflow icons would preload in the background as soon as the app is started. It would't take long, and that way if you hand it to someone to find a movie they want, they don't have to wait for the blank icons to load up. It looks more professional if you switch to coverflow, and all the covers are already waiting when you swipe your finger and the list of covers scroll.

And in regards to having the Front cover in the top left corner of the details screen, you should have a smaller icon (maybe half the height), beside it, if you do have the rear cover picture available. That way you can tap on either to bring up the full page of front or back, and again once you are in full page mode, you can swipe left or right to shift between front and back views. I think the back cover view is very important as many times I have gone into a DVD store and wanted to pick up a movie with someone who stared in another one I have. This way I just go to the back cover and see the info I need. Names, screen formats, year, duration, whatever I need. And if something is too small to read, iPhone lets you zoom in, so it is perfect for those moments when the writing is a bit too small. :D

i disagree with the last post. the last thing i want when i fire up the app is a 15 second delay while all the images are loaded that i'm not even going to use 99% of. please just load them as i need them!

i think, going back to the 1st post, that by 'coverflow' they mean apple's coverflow as seen on mac osx, the iphone / ipod touch and itunes when you have the device in landscape mode and you get the album artwork that you can scroll left/right.

Please note that the "lazy loading" system was not only implemented for performance reasons, but also to keep the apps memory usage to a minimum.
The iPhone and iPod touch do not have a lot of internal memory available directly for applications.

Okay, I can see the point of the user who commented on the delay it would take to load all the thumbnail views, but what about the second comment I made in regards to having access to both the front and back cover by merely swiping your finger left or right. I think that would be very useful. And when pressing the cover picture on the details page, the covers comes up with NO delay, so the back cover should have no delay either. Then its just a matter of sliding left or right to see front or back. Do you agree with that?

At the moment, the back cover images are not being exported to the iPhone, for space and performance reasons.
