Hey Guys,

Can anyone please let me know how to configure the searching engine (MC 6.4.1) to also search the DVD Empire database?

You need to install Kollection from http://www.collectortoolz.co.uk/.

Because this is a user developed bit of software, it is sometimes a couple of weeks behind the Movie Collector product, so although it works with 6.3.2 it may not work with 6.4.1 yet (but will do shortly)

Thanks for the prompt reply Stephen. Had a look at the link you included and downloaded the latest version of Kollection. It appears to be a Java app judging from the extension. How does it work though? Is it a stand-alone app or a plug-in for MC? I would appreciate some insight.

It is a separate bit of software (uses Java) which will allow you to make changes to the data in existing MvC databases (or can create new databases which can be opened in MvC). Essentially it provides all of the advanced functionality which Alwin does not want to build into MvC, but which users such as yourself would like to have. It does not allow you to view the data (except in a very rudimentary way) - you have to use MvC to do that.

But the Kollection forum is the correct place to discuss the software.
