I just got Movie Collector, created a db for my stuff and, wouldn't you know, the very first DVD I tried to look up came up with the wrong info. Not exactly an auspicious beginning. :-) That's a 100 % failure rate. ;-) I suppose the good news is that it can only get better. :-)

The DVD is "The Host (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)", US release, R1, 2 discs. I entered the barcode, 876964000994, and what Movie Collector found seems to be the Korean release: "Gwoemul" (aka "The Host"), "Collector's Edition", R2, 3 discs.

FWIW, a search for that barcode on Amazon finds what seems to be the correct version (R1 and 2 discs).

Heh heh. Something like that. I just couldn't resist a little dig. What were the odds that the very first DVD I tried to add would have a problem? :-)

I just tried adding it again and it's better - The description says 2 discs and R1 - but it still comes up with the Korean title (Gwoemul). If that's the way it's going to be because that's the original title, that's fine. I can change it. I just wanted to mention it.

Now I'm off to order a CueCat. BTW, if you're keeping score, I got Movie Collector as part of Trialpay's TheBigBundle. MC was one of several collection programs I'd looked at. That deal just made up my mind for me. Don't know why more people didn't take advantage of it.

Glad to be of help. You are right, it comes up with the Korean title because Gwoemul is the original title of the movie, but - as you said yourself- you can rename it of course.

I thought I'd read something in this thread about the original title being used. Thanks for confirming that. Just something I'll have to deal with, I guess. And thanks for updating the movie info.
