Guys, I run a site called GarminPOI.co.uk that offers free downloads for Garmin SatNav's for all sorts of categories ranging from McDonalds and KFC through to castles and theme parks - a massive range really!
One of my categories is 'Live Music' which is a file with locations of a load of gig venues from pubs and clubs up to arenas and everywhere in between.
Why am I telling you this? Well, I'm developing a new mobile phone targeted website (FindStuffNear.me) that uses this data and will help people out when gigging in different towns.
Thing is, my list is currently rather small and feeble... SO could I be so cheeky as to ask you to go to
http://garminpoi.co.uk/?page=submit and locate and enter your local venues or any other venues you know of? The 'Live Music' category is under the heading of 'Leisure'.
Also, feel free to have a preview of the mobile website. If your phone has GPS then it should locate you using that (doesn't work with Nokia GPS though) or you can enter a nearby street / town name to search manually.
