Adding and Editing Photos

Creating your Database

Before adding the first photos to your collection, you should start your own database.
Three easy steps:

1. Click File > New Database.
2. Save your database by clicking: File > Save Database
3. Name your database, e.g. "My Photo Collection" and click Save.

Adding your first Photos

Photo Collector can add pictures from files or folders on your computer, digital camera or removable media (like a USB-stick, or an SD-card).

To add pictures to your collection, click Database and select one of the four options:


Follow the easy instructions during the import and you're on your way!

Editing Photo Properties

When you want to edit a Photo's Properties, like add a personal note to the photo, or give the photo a title, name the photographer, add a link, etc., simply select the photo and click Database > Edit Properties.

Selecting multiple photos enables changing the properties for the selected photos at once. Read more on editing multiple photos in the Advanced Tasks section of the manual.
