News: Collectorz.com Connect update

Our Connect site is a continuous work in progress, new stuff is being added each week. What's new this month?
  • New look: Designer Joris and coder Sven have created a brand new look for all Connect pages.
  • Music Collector Connect: Finally our CD database has its own home too. Check the CDs that were most popular last week and the daily updates to our database.
  • Connect home: The Connect home is a hub page from which you can reach all Connect sites. It shows stats and top 10 lists for all of them and of course our new Connect blog.
  • Connect blog: At Collectorz.com we watch lots of movies and TV series, read books and comics, play loads of games and listen to music all the time. During lunch we have lively discussions about what we like (and hate) and we want to share those opinions with you. Visit our blog and read AJ's Xmas recommendations, why Mark loves watching Lost and enjoy Ronald's jazzy week when he went to listen to 3 jazz masters at work. You're welcome to post your comments.
  • Tip: At Connect you can rate and review movies and games. Let the world know what you think about the movies you watch and the games you play. For example, check out these reviews by AJ and Alwin.

Meet The Collectors: Martha Richardson and Ronald Wyllys

Not one collector but two: meet Martha Richardson and Ronald Wyllys and the combined Wyllys-Richardson Collections.
Over the years they have accumulated 1.500 CDs, 400 DVDs, 100 VHS tapes, 100 cassette tapes, 200 LPs and 4.000 books. Ronald and Martha use the Collectorz.com software to keep track of their valuables. But the storage of all these items needs clever thinking as well. "Some of the bookcases were built into the house when it was constructed in the 1950s; some were purchased from furniture stores and from local bookcase makers; and some I built myself. We even constructed a bookcase for paperback books by removing a section of wallboard from a hallway and installing hardware for adjustable shelves between the studs (the uprights within the wall)."
Visit their website and read more about how they designed and constructed a Home Entertainment Center, both providing quality presentation and storage. Also check their Web Catalogs for an overview of all books, movies and music.
