Comic Collector 5 for Windows

It's finally here, Comic Collector 5 for Windows!

Version 5 adds a feature that comic collectors have been requesting for a long time:

* The ability to catalog comics by barcode: Just type or scan the barcode to get automatic details and cover art for that exact issue.
(currently for American comics only)

And there's lots more. Here's a quick overview of what else is new:

Updates for the CLZ apps for iPhone, version 1.3

We are working on 1.3 updates for the CLZ apps for iPhone and iPod Touch. Three out of five have already been released.
CLZ Music has been submitted to Apple and is under review, CLZ Comics is under construction.

It is a big update with lots of cool new features, here is a summary:

Support for syncing data over USB via iTunes
Browse your In Collection items, your Wish List, or your entire database, using the 3 main tabs on the bottom left: All, Collection, Wish List
New data fields and folder options
Improved look of folder lists: with icon and "Apple Style" counter on right
New Cover Flow view (as "landscape mode" of Thumbnail View)
Improved layout of List and Thumbnail View
Supports Portrait and Landscape modes in all views and pages
Supports retina displays: hi-res icons, buttons and cover images
And more!

This is a free update for existing CLZ owners. Use the App Store / Updates on your iPhone or iPod Touch to install this new version 1.3.
The export to the CLZ companion apps is available in the Standard and Pro editions of our desktop software.

10-Year Anniversary

No one would have believed... in the last years of the twentieth century...
that anyone would be able to organize the growing mess of CDs, DVDs and books...

But, in November 2000, in the Netherlands, a new company was founded.
Then slowly and surely, it drew its' plans against chaos.

Of course, this company was Collectorz.com. Now, 10 years later, Collectorz.com is a 13-person company, offering 30 products, on 6 platforms.

We have celebrated our anniversary with you, our loyal customers, by creating special offers only available via email. But we have also celebrated our birthday with the entire Collectorz.com team on a weekend trip to Berlin!

Post your Connect updates to Facebook and Twitter

Last week, our Connect team launched a new feature for all Connect editions:

* Post collection updates to Facebook and Twitter

You can now post "Just added ... to my collection" updates to your Facebook or Twitter feed, straight from the Add page in your Connect account.
Also, on an entry's info page, you can use the new "Share" popup to post "Now watching ..." / "Now reading" / "Now playing" updates. These little social updates automatically contain a link to the entry's page in your online collection (so make sure your collection is set to "Public").
Before you can use this new feature, you must authorize Connect to access your your Facebook and/or Twitter feeds. You can do that on your Account page.

Check the collection updates from your fellow Connect users on Twitter.

Game Collector 4 for Windows

We have just released a major upgrade for Game Collector, version 4.
Version 4 adds two features that you all have been requesting for a long time:

The mobile puzzle is complete

Last Saturday, Apple approved our fifth iPad app: CLZ Books HD.
This completes our mobile puzzle of 15 companion applications for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Not counting the mobile viewer of Collectorz.com Connect that is!

We now offer CLZ mobile add-ons for Music, Movie, Book, Comic and Game Collector.
First you need to catalog your CDs, DVDs, comics, books and games into the desktop software, then export to one of the dedicated CLZ apps.
Browse your collection with full data and images. There is no need to be online, all data is stored on your device for fast browsing. Check your list while on the road and never buy duplicates again.

CLZ Comics HD for iPad available now

This one took a loooonnnggg time, but it's here.
Apple finally approved our CLZ Comics HD app for iPad and is available for purchase in the App Store now.

To use CLZ Comics HD for iPad, you *need* the latest version of Comic Collector, which is version 4.7.2.
For your convenience, please find the manual topic about exporting from Comic Collector to CLZ Comics here.

* What about the other editions? *
CLZ Games HD has already been submitted to Apple. It should appear in the App Store within a week. In the meantime, we have already started the development of the music and book editions.
CLZ Movies HD is available in the App Store since September 28.

CLZ Games for Android

It Has Arrived, the Android edition of the CLZ Games mobile app!

Now you can finally check your game collection and your wish list on your Android phone.
Just transfer your data and images using the Export to CLZ Games feature, either over Wi-Fi (recommended) or by copying the export file to the SD card.

CLZ Games for Droid is an add-on to Game Collector.
To use CLZ Games for Android, you *need* the latest version of Game Collector, which is version 3.5 for Windows, also released today. Just use Check for Update in your existing copy to get it.

HUGE 9.2 update for Music Collector for Windows

In January of this year, 9 months ago, we launched Music Collector version 9.
This was a major upgrade, finally adding music file support to Music Collector. In version 9.1, in April, we made this new feature even better and easier to use.

Today, we released version 9.2 and it's HUGE!
One of the new features is the Find Cover Image tool, which we have already added to the latest editions of Movie and Book Collector.

It has arrived, our first Android app: CLZ Movies !

Now you can finally check your movie collection and your wish list on your Android phone.
To use CLZ Movies for Android, you will need the latest version of Movie Collector, which is version 7.1 for Windows or 3.4 for Mac OS X. Just transfer your movie data and images using the Export to CLZ Movies feature, either over Wi-Fi (recommended) or by copying the export file to the SD card.

Book Collector 7 for Windows

This comes as no surprise but we have just released Book Collector 7 for Windows!

It was only a matter of time to implement all cool new features from Movie Collector 7 into Book Collector. Like the Find cover image, the collection statistics screen, the wish list switch, the redesigned rating system, the Vee Seven templates and much more.

But Book Collector 7 offers new book specific features too.

Improved eBooks and Audio books support by scanning folders.
Extra fields for Audio Books like Narrator, Length and Abridged.
Support for Author Pseudonyms / Pen Names.
Improved layout of the Edit Book screen.

Coming Soon: CLZ mobile apps

Mobile applications are a big part of Collectorz.com and they are only going to be more important in the future. At the moment we offer dedicated apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch under the brand name CLZ.
And the good news is that we are working on Android and iPad apps, Blackberry apps will be released later this year too.

If you're interested in either one or both apps, please sign up for the Preview Club to be one of the first to know about its release.
Preview Club members will receive emails (not too many of course) about our progress and will be the first to download and use the applications.

Movie Collector 7 for Windows

It's finally here, Movie Collector 7 for Windows!

And this is the biggest upgrade we have ever released.

We're particularly proud of the new Find Cover Image tool. It lets you find missing covers using a Google Images search and add them to your movie entries with just one click.

Six days earlier than announced we released Comic Collector Connect.

Comic Collector Connect is:

This is a full online comic cataloging tool for adding, editing, browsing, sorting and searching your comic collection. Running inside your web-browser, no downloads, installs or upgrades needed. Just go to the Connect website and log in to your account to manage your comic collection.
You can even browse your collection from any mobile device.

Connect is also a great way to share your comic collection with friends and family, by placing it online, on Collectorz.com servers. Simply email the link to friends and family to show off your comic list.

We are planning to release it on June 29.
