Do you support my PDA, Pocket PC or (smart)phone?
Collectorz.com and Ilium Software have teamed up to bring you the perfect solution for cataloging your collection and viewing it on your Pocket PC or Palm device.
It will allow you to carry your collection with you always!
You will find more information here.
Our upcoming Collectorz.com Connect online cataloging service will have a special mobile website that lets you view your collection from any mobile device. Your device needs to be connected to the internet for this though.
If you have a Microsoft Zune device, you're out of luck. It is our understanding that the Zune does not support internet browsing, and thus can not support the Collectorz.com Connect online cataloging service.
I have a problem exporting my collection to my iPod Classic.
Important note: The iPhone and iTouch can not be used with this export feature.
For support for iPhone and iTouch, please check out these FAQ pages.
For the program to be able to find your iPod Classic, your iPod Classic must be "enabled for disk use".
You can enable this through iTunes:
- Connect your iPod Classic to your computer, either using a USB cable or by putting it into its dock.
- Start iTunes
- In iTunes, choose Edit | Preferences and switch to the "Summary screen" of the connected iPod Classic.
- Make sure the "Enable Disk use" checkbox is checked.
- Click OK.
After following the above steps, use the Find my iPod button again (this button can be found under "File > Export to > iPod Notes") and your iPod Classic will appear in the Destination iPod box.
I exported my entire database to my iPod, but some data is missing.
This is a limitation of the iPod Notes system, it can only handle 1000 files. Each Item Detail Page is a separate file, so this means that when using the Export Item Detail Pages option the number of items you can export is limited to 1000 (maybe less if you have other files in your iPod Notes section already).
We recommend that you try the export without Detail Pages, which generate a list of items only. Just uncheck the Export Item Detail Pages option.
My carousel is not detected, what can I do?
When your carousel is not detected, you should check a few things.
First, make sure the drivers are installed.
You will find the Dacal / Ziotek drivers on our download page.
On that page you will also find a link to MediaTracker which is required for CenturionCD carousels.
Next, make sure the USB cables are connected to the computer directly or a powered USB hub.
If you have a setup of several carousels, you may want to try connecting them one by one on different cables to isolate the problem.
I am having problems using the CenturionCD carousel.
You will need to run version MediaTracker 2.1.3 Lite.
You can do so from the Centurion download page
When you at some point ran an older version of MediaTracker such as 2.1.2, please take the following steps.
- First, close the program as it appears in the tray next to the Windows clock (right click, close).
- Now use "control+alt+delete" to invoke the Windows task manager, and from the processes end the remaining process called "MediaTracker".
- After that, from the control panel, perform a normal uninstall of MediaTracker, and restart the computer. Now install the lite version.
I cannot find the Carousel controls, for example the eject button?
- In Movie Collector, open the Edit Movie screen and go to tab "Episodes and features". There is a Storage section for each disc of the movie.
- In Music Collector, the storage device option is also on the disc level, meaning you will have to open the album (plus in front of the album in the tree), and right click the disc, selecting "edit disc". On the personal tab of the edit disc screen you will find the carousel controls.
- In Game Collector, the carousel controls are found on the 'personal' tab of the edit game screen (use the menu Edit | Edit Game).
If you don't see anything, try downloading and installing the carousel driver which is at the bottom of the download page.
You will find more information on how to use the carousels in the manual (press F1 while running Movie-, Music or Game Collector, the section is called "reference - DVD/CD Carousels), as well as on the pages :
about the Centurion carousel ,
about the Ziotek carousel in Movie Collector and
about the Ziotek carousel in Music Collector
Note : Only the Windows versions of Movie-, Music- and Game Collector support the use of carousels.
Will your software work with the Brand X Carousel ?
The Windows versions of Movie- Music- and Game Collector support the CenturionCD and Ziotek carousels.
Support is not built into the Mac versions.
Other carousels such as Imation DiskStakka are not supported.
You can still use our software with such carousels, just enter the storage device and slot numbers manually. You will however not be able to use features such as disc-ejection on such carousels.
