• Besides MP3s, MP3 Collector supports audio file formats WMA, OGG Vorbis, APE, Flac and WAV.
• Add audio files by scanning your harddisk, network and CD/DVD-ROMs.
• There's no limit to the number of tracks in your MP3 Collector file.

Viewing, searching and sorting

• You can view your audio collection as a list with multiple columns.
• Sort on any field, or on multiple fields.
• Configurable lists, choose which fields to show as columns.
• Automatically group tracks in folders, e.g. by Artist or Genre.
• Quick Search, for finding tracks that contain the text you type, in any field.
• Filter feature:
  • Search in specific fields.
  • Search in multiple fields in one search.
  • Use AND or OR to combine filter conditions.
  • Use NOT to show all items EXCEPT the filter results.

Tag editing

• After adding a file, you can use the Edit Screens to edit the data to what you prefer: artist, title, lyrics, label, etc. Use the Edit Multiple function to modify multiple tracks in one go.
• Supported tag formats: ID3 v1, ID3 v2, Vorbis, WMA and APE.
• Use info from existing tags, file and folder names, or manual entry.
• Preview the changes before applying them.
• Auto-capitalization.
• The database and the files are synced automatically (if the file is available and writeable). Manual syncing is also possible.

File renaming

• Rename a single file, or batch rename multiple files.
• Fields that can be used in the filename: track artist, track title, track index, album artist, album title, year, etc.
• Use info from tags, file and folder names, and manual entry.
• Preview the changes before applying them.

File Explorer

• Integrated Explorer window to browse your system for audio files.
• View all supported tags as configurable columns.

Playlists

• Integrated playlist support.
• Create, edit and save multiple playlists.
• Drag & drop files from the explorer and database.
• MP3 Collector supports standard .M3U and .PLS playlist formats.

Statistics

Printing

• Print lists of all the tracks in your audio database, you can choose which fields to show as columns and which field to sort the list on.
• Print a selection of tracks, e.g. the result of a search.

Exporting (PRO Edition Only)

• Export to Text (e.g. CSV), for using your data in other programs like Excel.
