Storing your DVDs with the Ziotek/Dacal DVD Carousel

If you have a large DVD collection, finding the disk you're looking for can be a challenge. It also takes up a huge amount of space. With the Ziotek/Dacal DVD Carousel, you can both save space and find your movies quickly. The DVD carousel enables you to store all your disks in a jukebox system. With our integrated solution, you can select your movie in Movie Collector and then click the Eject button in the software to automatically rotate the carousel and eject the correct disk.

The carousel is connected to your PC via a standard USB connector. Each carousel can contain 150 disks; you can hook up multiple units (up to a maximum of 127). The carousels are stackable up to 3 units high. You can also manually select a disk by entering its slot number with the keypad on the front of the unit.

Software Support

Movie Collector provides integrated support for the DVD carousel. The devices are recognized automatically when they are connected to your computer, and Movie Collector assigns each one a 'Storage Device' number. You can then enter the slot number where you placed the disk; Movie Collector now knows where to find the disk - and you can eject it right from the software. In the Edit Movie screen you can select a Storage Device and Select an Available Slot in the Carousel:

The 'Find Available Slot' function searches for a free slot on the selected carousel, so you can always insert a new disk in a place that is guaranteed to be available.

Installation

First, download and install Movie Collector.
To activate the DVD Carousel support, download the carousel driver and place it in your Movie Collector folder.
The default location of this folder is "C:\Program Files\Collectorz.com\Movie Collector".
