Introduction
Movie Collector's Wish List allows you to easily keep track of movies you desire, but don't yet own. You can add movies directly to your wish list and quickly move them to your collection. You can quickly switch between your wish list and movies you already own using Movie collector's Collection Status filters. With our CLZ mobile apps you can also export your wish list to a mobile device.
Collection Status Filters
You can control the Collection Status of movies within your database using the Collection Status radio buttons, found at the bottom of the Add/Edit Movie screen.
There are two main distinctions.
- Collection
- Wish List
To switch between your main collection and you wish list, use the icons in the bottom left corner of Movie Collector's main screen.

Adding to your Wish List
The easiest way to add Movies to your Wish List is via the Add Movies Automatically screen. In the bottom right corner of the Add Automatically screen, you have two radio buttons. Use these to define whether a movie will be added to your collection or to your wish list.
When you add a movie to your collection and put it on your wish list, an icon will appear next to the movie in your Main List as well as in the Detail Template.

These are known as Collection Status Indicators. You can enable/disable the indicators from appearing in the main list using Movie Collector's options.
- Click Tools > Options.
- On the 'General' tab, look for the option "Show 'Collection Status' Indicator in List".
- The indicators are enabled by default, to disable them, uncheck the box.
Controlling your Wish List
After you buy a movie on your Wish List, you'll need to move it to your collection. You can do so in a couple of ways:
- Right click on the movie in your Main List and click 'Move to Collection'
- Open the Edit Movie screen and click the In Collection button under the Collection Status heading
Printing your Wish List
To print a copy of your Wish List, follow the steps below:
- First, ensure you are viewing your Wish List only by clicking Search > In Collection Status > Wish List
- If you use Folder View, disable it by clicking View > No Folders.
- Click Edit > Select All to select all items in your Wish List
- Click File > Print
- Ensure you've chosen the 'Selected Movies' option
- Click 'Print' to start printing
