Adding a Box Set
Introduction
Movie Collector allows you to catalogue your box sets as individual movies then link them together as a box set. You can also search for the UPC of the box set and add it as one entry in your database, however this method doesn't allow you to store as much data, so we recommend you add each movie from the set individually, then link them together using the Box Set field.
Adding a Box Set
To create a box set, you must first add the movies from the box set to your collection. We'll use 'The Godfather Trilogy' as an example.
- Start Movie Collector and use the Add Automatically screen to add each individual Godfather movie.
- Select the 3 movies from your Main List by holding CTRL (? for Mac) then click on each movie.
- Click Edit > Edit Multiple Movies.
- Click the Edition tab, then enter the name of the box set into the field provided.

That's it. Your box set has now been created. When you select one of the movies from the set, more information will be displayed in your Detail Template. You can also use Folder View to browse your collection by box set.
Editing a Box Set
After creating a box set, you can add additional information to it. Here's how:
- Click Tools > Edit Lists
- Use the List Icon (1) to locate the Box Set list
- Select the box set you wish to edit then double click the entry, or click the Edit Icon (2)
- You can now define additional information about your box set
