Add/Edit Movie Screen
Introduction
The Add/Edit Movie screen allows you to control the amount of information displayed in your detail template and columns. You can add as much or as little information as you like. Below you can find more information about each section, the fields included and how to use them effectively.
The Edit Screen has a number of different types of fields. There are standard text/numerical fields, radio buttons, and two types of fields which are linked to your List Items, known as 'Lookup List' fields.

Lookup List Fields:
There are two types of fields that access your List Items. Lists are very useful, they save information so you can quickly select it again without having to type it out for each movie.

Drop-down lookup lists are defined by the black arrow next to the field. There are two ways to add data to a drop-down field:

Check Box Fields
Check box fields allow you to select multiple list entries for one movie. To add data:

Once you've added the information to the list, you can select for all other movies in your collection. If you accidentally enter something you don't want to use, for example if you make a typo, you can remove the entry using the menu Tools > Edit Lists. Click here to learn more about List Items.

Each page of the Add/Edit screen contains a number of standard text/numerical fields. These fields are used to store unique information. Some fields can contain text and numbers, others are limited to numerical values only. For example, the running time of a movie will only ever be a numerical value, so entering text into that field is not permitted.
The title and title sort field have special features, not available in any other field. These features are controlled by the icons above each field.
Title Field:
This icon allows you to control your capitalization settings.
This icon will apply your capitalization settings to the title field.
Title Sort Field:
This icon allows you to control your title sort settings.

Radio Buttons
Radio buttons are used for selecting fixed choices. The most prominent and useful being the Collection Status indicators. These can be found at the base of the Edit Movie screen and can be used to define the collection status of your entry.
The Collection Status and rating options are available at the bottom of the Edit Movie screen, regardless of which tab you are viewing. You can learn more about the individual tabs within the Add/Edit screen below.

The Movie Tab, shown below, contains the main information about your movie. The most popular fields such as title, language, country, genre etc. can all be controlled via this tab. Most of the fields in the Movie tab are self explanatory. If you aren't sure what a particular field is used for, click here for a field reference guide.

Cast and Crew
The Cast and Crew tab allows you to store information about the cast and crew. To add a new cast/crew member, click the green + icon. this will add a new drop-down lookup list. For crew, clicking the + icon gives you a number of choices. Here you will also see 'User Credit 1 and 2'. These are blank fields which can be renamed via the menu Tools > Field Names.
The blue up/down arrows can be used to move the cast/crew member up or down the list. The order shown here will be reflected in your Detail Template.

Edition
The edition tab is used for specifying exact edition details about your movie. You can store information such as the audio format, the screen ratio, movie format, region and much more.

Episodes and Features
This tab is primarily used for cataloging T.V. Series. You can add multiple discs and add episodes to each disc. Click the green + icon next to the disc to add a new disc and click the green + icon next to the T.V. to add an episode to a disc. When you add an episode, a new window will appear allowing you to define specific information for each episode.
Tip: You can move episodes from one disc to another by clicking and dragging the episode to the tab of the disc you wish to move it to. You can also change the disc order by dragging the disc tabs.
Personal
Here you can store personal information about your movie such as the location, purchase date, viewing date, value and much more.
Covers
Here you can add/modify/remove cover images, backdrops and posters. Click here for more information about adding cover images.

Plot and Notes
No surprises here. You can use this tab to store plot information as well as personal notes about the movie.
Links
The links tab allows you to control the links visible in your detail template. This includes both local and online links. Click here to learn more about the Links Screen.
