Upgrading to v3
If you already own an earlier version of Game Collector (Standard or Pro), you can upgrade to the PRO version 3 for only $24.95, a 50% discount. Just enter your license key in the box on the right and click Upgrade Now.

What's New in Game Collector 3:
New Add Automatically screen (replaces both Wizard and Advanced Mode screens):
- It now uses only one source (the Collectorz.com info source) which makes adding games much quicker and easier and makes it possible to add multiple games in one go.
- Collectorz.com soure has been improved a lot, with images and descriptions for all games for the current platforms (PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS and PSP), better barcode coverage, cleaned-up game lists, etc...
- Because of the above, all Amazon sources have been removed.
- New tab-page "New Releases", listing recent and upcoming games.
- New tab-page "Most Popular", listing the top 100 games per platform.
- Platform list is automatically updated from the Collectorz.com server each time you open the screen.
- New Check Connection button
Important: Version 3 does not search Amazon anymore. We are confident that the recent improvements to the Collectorz.com game database will make sure you won't miss it. However: if being able to search Amazon is essential to your usage of Game Collector, we recommend you do not upgrade to version 3 and keep using version 2.3.
Searching your database
- Completely redesigned Filter screen (PRO only)
- Build advanced filters using brackets, AND, OR, NOT, equal, not equal, greater than, less than, contains, starts with, ends with, wildcards
- Save your filters and activate them directly using the Filter menu on the toolbar
- Faster Quick Search
- Filter status is now shown in bottom of main screen
Details View Templates
- New CSS Styles system:
- Template menu now allows selecting various "styles" for each template (using a submenu)
- Styles can be created using CSS style sheets
- New Game Collector 3 template, in 4 different styles (Blue, Black, Grey and iTunes)
New toolbar icons
- New "joystick" design for add/edit/remove and loan buttons
- Many existing icons have been improved (smoother edges)

Support for Screenshots
- Use the "Screenshots & Links" tab-page in Edit Game to add screenshots to your game entries

- New "Edition" field, automatically filled from the Collectorz.com source
- New Tags fields on Personal tab page
- Screen is now resizable (and remembers its size too)
- Improved Links tab page:
- Add links to websites by dragging & dropping from your browser
- Add links to screenshots and other local files by dragging & dropping
- Easier editing of links and their descriptions
- The "..." buttons next to pick list fields have been removed and replaced by a new [Add ...] command inside the drop down list
- Now supports the Flic scanner to fill the UPC/Barcode field
- New entry boxes for easier adding of values to check list fields (e.g. Genre)
Sorting
- Save your sort order definitions and activate them directly using the Sort Order menu on the toolbar (PRO only)
- Simpler Sort Field selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.
Columns
- Save your column definitions and activate them directly using the Columns menu on the toolbar (PRO only)
- Simpler Columns selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.
Folder selection
- Save you custom folder field combination and activate them directly from the Folder menu above the tree (PRO only)
- Simpler Folder field selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.

Automatic Sort Titles
- New "Generate Sort Title" button in Edit Game screen
- Sort Titles are now automatically generated from the Title when using Add Automatically

Automatic Capitalization of Titles
- New AutoCap button next to Title in Edit Game screen
- Titles are now automatically capitalized when using Add Automatically

Improved CueCat support
- Improved CueCat handling in main screen
