Creating a Backup
Game Collector takes good care of your collection. It creates a Backup while you are working. You don't need to do anything special for that. The Backup is stored in the Backup folder in the Game Collector folder on your hard disk and is called Backup of MyCollection.gmc.
Note: The .gmc file contains all information on your collection, but not the images.
Creating a Backup
Although Game Collector creates an immediate Backup of your collection, it's advisable to create a Backup of your complete collection (including thumbnails and images), in case your computer catches a virus. Or worse. Don't want all your hours of work to have been in vain. There's really nothing to it. Just copy the complete Game Collector folder (with it's subfolders) to an external hard disk, a USB stick or burn it to a CD-ROM or DVD. It's easy and fast and you'll thank yourself for doing it. Really.
