How do I use the Opticon OPR-3201 scanner?

The Opticon OPR-3201 laser barcode scanner is fully compatible with the Windows and Mac OS X edition of Book Collector, Movie Collector and Music Collector, plus with Game Collector, Movie Collector Connect and Book Collector Connect.
Including any older versions, no special support or drivers needed.

The option 'Find scanner' is not needed, the OPR-3201 is a plug and play device. So don't get confused about the 'No scanner found' message in the Add Automatically screen, your scanner works out of the box.
Just make sure your cursor is in the barcode/ISBN box before scanning a code.

How to scan with the OPR-3201 scanner:

  • Start your Collectorz.com software (PC or Mac version).
  • Plug your scanner into a free USB port.
  • Open the Add Automatically screen.
  • Make sure your cursor is in the bar code/ISBN box in the Add Automatically screen.
  • Now scan a barcode.
  • The barcode shows up in your screen and the software automatically searches for the item's information online.

The OPR-3201 and Collectorz.com Connect:

  • Login to your Connect account.
  • Click on the collection tab you want to edit if you have multiple Connect accounts.
  • Plug your scanner into a free USB port.
  • Click on the Add button.
  • Make sure your cursor is in the 'Enter title or barcode' box of the Add screen.
  • Now scan a barcode and click on Search.
  • Select the result and you're done.

The program says 'No Scanner Found'. Now what?
