Xanadu (1980)

Sonny Malone (Michael Beck) is a frustrated artist by the limits of his job painting album covers. One day he discovers an album cover with the face of Kira (Olivia Newton-John). Fascinated by her, he tries to discover who she is from the photographers who shot the album cover he is to paint. While searching for her, he meets Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly). Danny tries to help Sonny understand that he has encountered the same muse that helped him achieve his artistic vision many years before. Together they decide to open a club that plays the latest disco music for roller skaters. Kira comes back from the other world of supernatural beings to help Danny. They fall in love and Sonny tries to convince Kira to stay in the mortal world with him.
