Plot

This documentary, made by Eugene Jarecki, explores several recent developments in American history in regard to our foreign policy, involvement in various wars, establishment of military bases, and possible empire-building. Archival footage featuring such people as Ashcroft, Bin Laden, Bush (both presidents), Cheney, Clinton, Eisenhower, J. F.K, Hastert, Reagan, the Shah of Iran, and many more, is included as part of the discussion of the above issues. Also included is Eisenhower’s warning against establishing an American military/industrial complex, as well as interviews with former military officers, some of whom are now disillusioned with events and have warned their children not to enlist.
