Turn The River (2007)

Gulley (Jaymie Dornan) has never known his real mother. All his live he has been raised by his father David, (Matt Ross) and step-mother Abigail (Lois Smith). His mother Kailey Sullivan (Famke Janssen) is a pool hustler. Her dream is to win one big tournament and take back Gulley. Her break may come at a tournament sponsored by her favorite pub owned by good friend Teddy (Rip Torn). If she wins the tournament and the prize money, she can afford to grab Gulley and flee to Canada. All she will need to do is get fake documents, kidnap her own son and of course, win.
