Plot
Wendell Baker (Luke Wilson) is a former convict whose hatched scam earns him a stay behind bars. Determined to win back the love of his life Doreen (Evan Mendes), whom he manages to alienate with his behavior and tenure at the local jail, Wendell finds unlikely employment at a retirement community with the evil head nurse Neil King (Owen Wilson) and sardonic aid McTeague (Eddie Griffin). After befriending three elderly residents, Wendell teams up to fight corruption and win back his one and only love, turn his life around, and live the life that will be remembered as, “The Wendell Baker Story.”
