Starting Out in the Evening (2007)

An aging, successful writer, Leonard Schiller (Frank Langella) is trying to write his last novel. For him there isn't much more left in life than to finish this last piece, even though it has been a long time since his last writing. When Heather Wolfe (Lauren Ambrose) begins to call on him it is because she is writing her graduate thesis on him and his writings. Though it takes some time for her to get past his initial reluctance to meet with her, she soon begins to have romantic feelings for him. While she is busy trying to convince him that there is more to him than what he thinks is left and that he can be in the spotlight once again much is learned about life and relationships.
