It centers on Isaac (Woody Allen), a man with both job and woman problems. He has an acrimonious relationship with his ex-wife Jill who has fallen in love with a woman and plans to air her marital problems with Isaac in a book. Isaac has a relationship with a 17 year old student (Mariel Hemingway)-he cares about her but then drops her to have an affair with the mistress (Diane Keaton) of his best friend (Michael Murphy).
