Plot
While a young boy, Vincenzo Cortini (Lloyd Bridges), the son of a mailman in Sicily, is an accidental witness to a mafia crime, and must be smuggled out of the country of his birth. Eventually, he reaches the bright lights and dirty streets of the United States, where he tries to build a new life but keeps being drawn back into organized crime. In a story that echoes and parodies Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, Cortini encounters all manners of stereotypical mobster types, from the loyal henchman to the idiot brother, while on his way to the top (or bottom?) of the crime syndicate.
