Deceived (2002)

Jack Jones (Judd Nelson) is a computer analyst at a remote government research facility high up in the mountains. He goes about his work with a strong sense of skepticism and is not very cooperative in group work. This makes Jack very unpopular with his coworkers and his unpopularity grows exponentially when the facility picks up a strange alien signal from far off in space. While his peers and supervisors believe that this is first contact with extraterrestrial life, Jack feels that it is something much more dangerous. His suspicions are confirmed when he begins seeing people who listen to the signal for long periods of time go insane, he also begins to suspect that government is somehow in on the inception of the signal.
