Rowdy on Red Faction: Guerrilla [Xbox 360], 11-06-2009
"Alec Mason travels to Mars to work in the mines and to build up a simple life there. Things quickly take a turn for the worse when his brother gets killed by the militairy regime, the Earth Defense Force. Alec moarns, joins the resistance and starts destroying everything that has a EDF sign on it. That's the storyline in a nutshell.
Volition spent a few years developing the graphicle engine and if you ask me it paid off very well. You can just about blow up or run over everything in this game, and lucky for me Mars is extremely well populated.
As said, the story isn't that extremely well-written. The game actually feels like a collection of missions designed for you to completely blow the living crap out of everything. Destroying government buildings helps you and the Red Faction to take over several sectors on Mars, making it able to stage a coup and take control over those areas.
As nearly all of the missions involve blowing up things things can get a bit repetive at times, but besides this - and the somewhat dull landscape of Mars - I'm enjoying this game very much. The game engine is impressive, visuals are a treat and there are several fun multiplayer modes. Money well spent!"
