AJMouse on Super Fruit Fall [Wii], 01-02-2007
"I consider myself someone who likes his puzzle games. I wouldn't immediately buy a puzzle game for one of my consoles (except for the handhelds), because I often think it's time consuming and boring to play from my comfortable couch. Having said that, and with the limited amount of great games on the Wii so far (let’s be honest) I loaned Super Fruit Fall. I was pretty interested in this game ever since I found out about it on the internet. I always thought it was a port from an internet game, and often a port is bad. Still I couldn’t find it on the internet, so I needed to play it to find out what it was about.
This is one of the cheaper games you can get for the Wii. It costs about half as much as what I consider top-titles, and let me tell you I don’t think it’s worth a penny more.
I got the hang of it after a few levels, I understood what I needed to do to complete levels. But I wasn’t getting more into it. It bored me. You get some different backgrounds/fruits/surroundings and there’s a two player mode it seems (couldn’t be bothered to try it out) but it’s just not doing it for me.
I wouldn’t recommend this even if you like puzzles. The controls are whack (it’s not very innovative and sometimes it responds really bad which could result in screwing the whole level up for you) and the puzzle isn’t fun (it can be very complicated though)."
