AJMouse on Rayman: Raving Rabbids [Wii], 16-12-2006
"Hahaha, this is so much fun. Raving Rabbids to my surprise is a minigame-game. You're locked inside a prison by a big evil bunny, and you want to get out. In order to do so, you have to fight your way through minigames, which can be found in the stadium (with all the rabbids cheering you up). There is quite a big diversity of mini-games (even now I'm still getting new ones) and some of them are actually pretty hard.
You will strain yourself if you play this to long. For instance if you have a run game, you have to make running moves with your hands as if you were really running, using the wiimote and nunchuck. If you're not fast enough you won't make it. On the other hand you have ritmic drum games which reminded me alot of Donkey Konga on the Cube (oh how I hope they will throw that at us at some point). Every single minigame starts with an explanation on what you have to do. I used to read them but thought they were pretty hard to understand what they actually meant. It wasn't until later that I saw the rabbit to the left of the screen actually doing the minigame movements with the controllers. Check the look in his eyes.. Hilarious :)
Soo these rabbits... they're soo funny. They gaze at you, attack you, go crazy, everything. It's great fun. Every time you go to the stadium you complete 4 minigames, you open up the big door.. which is like a boss stage. A boss stage is usually a firstperson shooter where you shoot plumming things (don't know the English word for it) at the faces of the rabbits. You get scores like 'In the face!' when you hit one right in the face. You can also grapple-hook a rabbit and shoot it at another one. You will see aot of different references to movies and games in these stages.
Haven't been able to try multiplayer yet (I couldn't find it, and couldn't be bothered checking the manual - RTFM AJ!) but I think it could be alot of fun competing against friends.
These rabbits have GOT to make their return in games. They simply have to. 4 out of 5 for the rabbits!"
