"When No More Heroes was released in the beginning of this year it was well received by nearly all critics. It's clear to see why. It's overall look is nice and it certainly contains an own style. Graphics look okay, with some nice cel-shaded animation and the brutal combat is probably the best part of the game. You keep on swinging your controller untill you finished off every bad guy available.

Nothing wrong so far then, right? Wrong. Well, if you ask me that is.

The open world gameplay doesn't work one bit and, besides that, the environments simply look ugly beyond belief. The controls don't work, or at least not the way I like them to work and often there is some annoying clipping and pop-up going on.

In my opinion it tries to hard to be crowned as some kind of over-the-top cult game with it's annoying, zany missions, bizarre characters and the even more bizarre actions they perform. For example, in order to refill the laser sword you got equipped, you have move it in such a manner so that it looks like Travis Touchdown is masturbating himself. Ha. Ha. Ha. I like all sorts of humour, I really do, but this didn't did it for me.

In my opinion No More Heroes is one of the most overrated games of this year."
