AJMouse on World Series of Poker [PSP], 06-03-2007
"I've been playing Poker for about 6 months now I think, and I like the real deal. I also play a bit on-line, and this game has been sitting on my PSP for quite some time as well. But it's not great, it's just to pass the time.
After a few tries (well a few weeks actually) a got through the A.I. and I was winning without any problem. That's the thing about poker on any console, it's not human. Humans are unpredictable, and as a CPU can randomly choose what to do, it needs to follow a strategy, and that strategy is something that you can eventually read (in a small game like this). The actions of other players is the most important thing with poker. Having a good hand comes second. So with this very important thing going away after some time (when you get the hang of how the A.I. plays) the games becomes crappy. It begins to suck even more when you find out with what hands they raise the pot or go all-in. It's pathetic.
I would imagine linking up some PSPs to play against eachother is fun too, but why not cut a real deck and play with some chips. That certainly is a lot more fun.
You can buy this and have 2 or 3 weeks of fun with it, and that's that. I'm giving it a 5."
