Alwin on PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient [PSP], 23-02-2007
"After the success of the brain training games on the Nintendo DS, it is no surprise to find similar games appearing on the PSP too. PIQ is one of those games and it is not a bad one.
PIQ is a puzzle game that tests your "practical intelligence", which basically means that you are asked to solve all kinds of practical 3D puzzles. Each puzzle is a room, your goal is to guide your guy to the room's exit. To do so, you must move blocks around, avoid guards, switch off laser beams, etc... All this must be done by thinking logically. You often find yourself staring at the screen for a minute, then solving the puzzle in a few seconds, using just the right moves in the right order.
All this is shown on screen in a nice basic graphical style, using just wire graphics and a simple representation of the guy you control.
I enjoyed solving the puzzles (there's 60 of em) and have spent a few hours doing the tutorial and about 30 puzzles. So the game probably is a bit short. But I found the puzzles a lot more interesting and challenging than the repetitive tasks in Brain Traing. "
