"I totally agree, it looked kinda childish to me when I picked it up, but I got it anyway.

The game certainly is happy and fun. Whenever I play it I have to laugh at the little creatures and I'm always happy when I'm done. It's not very hard to complete (save the extra's that can be found throughout the worlds), but that doesn't matter. It leaves you with a smile on your face.

The game also has some minigames and a LocoRoco house where you can build stuff you find in the main game.

This game is genious in it's simpleness. It's definitely a refreshing thing.

What I love most about this game is the music, sung in a non-existing language (lyrics on the back and on YouTube in karaoke, haha). All the little critters on your screen sing the song, it's very very neat indeed. No waste of money, get this! :D"

"Wow, this is something different. It's a bit like a platformer, but the controls are different, the looks are different, the music is... well... very different. But amazingly, it is all just as great as it is different.
The controls are very simple: just tilt the world with the PSP shoulder buttons to roll the blob thingy left or right, push both to bounce. That's it, you only use two buttons. But that doesn't make it simple or shallow, it's quite deep actually.
The looks are old-skool 2D graphics, but everything is very colorful, bouncy and happy. And what makes it all even more happy is the music. It's hard to describe, it sounds like happy, unintelligible children's songs. The songs really stick, after playing for a while (singing along with the songs all the time, without knowing the "words") you can't get them out of your head.
I think LocoRoco is a great game, a fun and happy experience all the way through. I got through it within a few days, so some may say it is too easy or too short. There is some replay value though, as there's loads of stuff to be discovered in the levels, stuff you don't find on your first run through. I didn't bother though, I had my fun, on to the next game.
