AJMouse on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories [PSP], 01-11-2006
"For the past 2,5 weeks I've been playing 'Liberty City Stories' and I must say that it really isn't different at all from the style of 'GTA III: Liberty City'. Ofcourse you have the same map and the same characters, but a totally new story-line.
I've made it to the second island now, and I think I've played all sorts of missions you'd find in the PS2 or PC versions as well. The story isn't done quickly, they really did put in alot of effort like they do with the normal GTA games.
I myself have always played GTA games on the PC, so I'm not 100 percent sure if this is a new feature, but the 'R'-shoulderbutton of the PSP makes you aim, and you can switch between aimed people to shoot them. This is a great feature, especially for those of you who, like me, have been playing GTA games on the PC! I mean, FPS on a console or handheld... it's not easy - compared to a mouse on the PC. But with this system it's alot easier. You can ofcourse also aim freely when you press down on the 4-point button whilst aiming.
They put in quite some radio-stations (talk, house, classic, rap, indi, pop and more) and there are also commercials and news updates. The news usually has to do with something you just did for a mission which I thought was funny.
If you think GTA is hard and you're a cheater, there are cheats available for this psp game, just check out the web :)
When I first started playing this game I thought the graphics weren't all that great (it seemed.. how do you say... erm, woozy or something), but now that I've been playing it alot I don't notice, or maybe I whined too much at the beginning.
The game is getting more and more difficult, and the missions are fun. I haven't steered a boat yet or flew in a helicopter or plane, and I'm also not sure if I will be able to. Then again, Vice City Stories is out too, I already have it sitting here waiting to be played, and I think I can fly a helicopter in that one :D
I'm giving this game a 5, because: it's GTA, it's more GTA, it's more GTA, it's GTA and in conclusion it's GTA. And GTA equals 'Excellent'. "
