Rowdy on Tom Clancy's EndWar [PlayStation 3], 03-12-2008
"Set in a futuristic WW III setting you get to choose one of three factions, each having their own strong and weak points. Once you picked your favorite faction ( Europe, U.S.A. or Russia) you can go to war in this RTS by controlling your men with your voice.
Like every other Tom Clancy game out there, the presentation is absolutely beautiful. It looks great. The soldiers, the vehicles and battlefields all look very detailed but it's the voice command system that really stands out. Your men listen exeptionally well to every order you give them through your microphone. They give you status updates on the things happening near their position and even react to an order if that particular order didn't do too well the last time you gave it. Seems like a little thing but these little details not only make this a great game, they also make you feel you're a real supreme commander in charge.
EndWar has a fun singleplayer experience to offer you. Although both friendly and enemy A.I. is of a high standard, the gameplay can tend to become somewhat tedious after a while. More fun and (even) better resistance can be found in the exciting multiplayer mode. Just don't let the whole voice commands system scare you off though: you can play through the entire game without using them.
In the end (no pun intended...) Tom Clancy's EndWar is a good RTS. Even without the innovative implementation of the voice command system."
