Manhunt 2 [PlayStation 2]

"New uncut version? You may be asking if that is the title. No! If you read our article in the previous weeks. You would know that RockStar, creator of the most popular console game "Grand Theft Auto" released Manhunt 2 which was banned from ever being released earler this year! But in Netherlands where it has no regulatory body it is now on sale! After parliament in the Netherlands called on the courts to ban the game as well, a Dutch Justice Minister by the name of Ernst Hirsch Ballin determined the country's laws provide no means to outlaw the sale of a videogame. There are laws in place to prosecute retailers who sell a violent game to those under 16, but the courts apparently do not have the power to outright ban a game. So guess who has a copy of Manhunt 2? GameYaad.com of course!

Manhunt 2 starts off with you selecting your difficulty 'sane or insane'. How crazy is that? Then the game starts off with you, Danny, at Dixmor Asylum. A plan has just fallen through for Danny to escape. Where two patients attack the attendees and you kill your doctor by strangling her to death. While a needle is stuck in your arm! Yes! I said kill! First look in the mirror I realized that Danny did not look anything like the first character in the original Manhunt! He looked very sane, regular old Joe character. But not even close, he has a person in his head telling him what to do! Now if that is not crazy, then what is?

You have to now escape the asylum, by sneaking pass some really insane people. Yes, there are crazier people than Danny there, really crazy people. They throw fecal matter at you, urinate at you and talk to themselves. There is even apart where a chair rolls out in the second hall way that someone commits suicide by hanging them self.

Your main weapon in the beginning of the game is your fists and syringes! Fist fights to the death, strangulation and sneaking up and injecting people in the neck with the syringe is some of the ways to kill these people. Danny himself does not want to kill people, so there is a constant struggle between him and his inner self to do tasks which require him to stay alive. Yes, is kill or be killed in this asylum.

Overall the entire game was well put together. Introduction is perfect, made me want to watch it over and over again. The game play was a little on the learning curve side. Getting use to movement where a little tricky I could not change controller setup. Graphic was detail but not sharp but that was done purposely from the start of the game. Sound was superb! Manhunt 2 is a most get situation. It will be released as an edited version in the United State on October 31st 2007 on the Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
